Yeah, I had never hard of the game. I do recall some Golden Eye in the late 90s to the extent I was playing anything, lol.

I am really enjoying it, great adaptation of the game to the TV screen. Almost every little detail is being captured

Saw Civil War last night. It was excellent, and scary. I was expecting it to be political in some overt way, but it was not. It was certainly political, in that you can’t help think about where we are and where we are headed, but the movie doesn’t lead us there. Instead, it drops us into an American War zone near the end of the war, where we witness the barbaric acts of war (as well as the beauty of war in terms of watching professional soldiers do their job), all through the eyes of the objective press.

scary? I wouldn't expect this to be in the top 1000 for scary movies

I don’t like horror movies, so it wasn’t scary like the majority of movies discussed here. But it was scary thinking about how close we may be to civil war. Seeing what it might look like puts perspective on our political landscape.

    Talk to Me 2023.
Apologies if it’s already been discussed.
This was a decent horror flick.

I dont remember if it was mentioned here or not. I definitely liked it. Nice twist on the "seance gone wrong" genre.

I have to give credit to @citygator for downplaying the movie.
It was a good slow burn movie with an ending worthy of discussion.
I don’t want to do spoilers here but need more feedback if anyone else checks it out.
It had a decent plot with a mystery. My favorite kind.

    So, I also liked it.

However, if you aren’t firmly all in on suspension-of-disbelief, this one is hard to not scoff at.

Luckily I am all about SOD, so just a minor quibble. But the whole thing could have been shut down quite easily.

I mean some of my fave movies are absurd, like say Pulp Fiction. Ringo and Jules had a half hour armed therapy session in a packed diner. Everyone calmly cooperated. But that scene included a “find my wallet, it’s the one that says Bad M********** on it.” The whole thing is unabashedly absurd.

This one IMO tried to play it straight and the absurdity is a little out of sorts.

But again, I recommend it. Not a classic but good fun and some legit creep factor.

BTW, I had a BMF wallet. Nothing in it, I had it (gifted) to intentionally leave behind at bars and such just so I could come back and ask for it, hoping they’d ask me to identify it and I’d use that line.

    I eventually legitimately lost it.

There was a cool cult aspect to it as well.
Trying not to say too much…had to read a bit on Reddit afterwards to get more perspective.

A little conflicted on the Dastmalchian character (host.) Didn’t buy him as his day job, but he was outstanding for the ensuing hijinks.

Agreed about not trying to spoil it, it’s best seen unconsidered. Just roll with it.

Just finished the series Resident Alien. It’s quirky but I found it humorous and somewhat unpredictable.

Also agreed on the aforementioned Fallout. Not in love, but solid. They have actually departed substantially from the game, but have kept the core elements and the spectacle. It was hokey at first, but got darker later. I am pretty jazzed about a season 2.

This movie stayed with me the next day or so. So my wife wanted to see it and she actually liked it too.
    Just saying @GatorRade.

Like Emmitto said it’s not a classic but it’s decent.
It actually had a plot and not too much gore.
    Let me know.

Found another gem that I think you would like, Dinner in America. As the consensus suggests, it’s totally punk rock.
