Thing is, if you were genuinely interested in talking criminal justice reform, I'd be all for it. The criminal legal system in this country sucks. It is full of flaws. But you're the sort of guy who was literally complaining a couple days ago about a judge letting a different defendant out on bail. We've seen your views on the criminal legal system (and law enforcement) when it isn't a politician you love on the receiving end of this broken system, so you can spare me the bull.

You are just fine with these rules applying to people you don't like. You want Trump to get to play by his own rules. He isn't king. He isn't a dictator (yet). He's subject to the same laws the rest of us are.

it wasn't the affair, it was the payoffs claimed as business expenses to two different women for the sole purpose of keeping the info out of the press prior to the election. you consistently refuse to look at the facts. he falsified business records and tax reports for the sole purpose of covering up something to help him win the election.

    1. Trump has never attended any one of his children's high school graduations to date.
    2. The judge didn't say he couldn't, he just didn't rule on it yet.
    3. Court is not in session on Barron's graduation day, 5/17.

Do yourself a favor and fact check Trump's statements or to save time, assume they are lies until proven otherwise.

As bizarre and countrywide-embarrassing as it may be, it seems that the more Trump is held to account for failing to abide by the same standard as you and I, the more his followers worship him and the more votes he gets. People who don’t follow the actual charges, who don’t look at the actual evidence, just accept the myth that it is political witch hunt.

I don’t think it’s even debatable anymore as to whether these trials help Trump politically— they do. And, let’s be honest, the less he is out on the streets bumbling through his incoherent campaigning, the less people actually hear his words. They focus only on the propagandists screaming “Witch hunt!!!”

And what so bizarre about the instant-disbelief of the charges against Trump is the guy’s record, both before he ran for office, while he was in office, and after he left office. There is nothing in his record that shows a man that lives an innocent (or moral) life. He cheats at everything he does.

Ok. Don’t believe the porn star. Fair enough.

Don’t believe the state and federal prosecutors. Your choice.

Don’t believe the independent reporters who spend their lives digging for truth. Willfully blind?

How about we just listen to the people who actually worked for him, before politics and after, who uniformly state he is dishonest, untrustworthy, selfish, immune to counsel and advice, and a danger to this country.

Trump's 'extraordinary' number of critics who have worked for him

NOT EVERYONE IS LYING TO YOU!!!

Let’s not forget that others, Michael Cohen, went to jail for Trump’s actions here.

I agree completely here! Also, despite Trump screaming he was not allowed to go, the Judge has not yet ruled on that issue. The judge said Trump was not excused to watch oral arguments at the Supreme Court (where Trump has no input whatsoever). Again, as I understand it, the judge has not ruled on the graduation request.

While Biden is working on resolving the Israeli Gaza conflict Trump is working on staying out of prison. Nothing more clearly frames this election choice.

They don't want a jury to see evidence and hear testimony, just dismiss all charges because he said so.

It would seem basic logic; maybe not everyone for years are lying. Maybe the proven liar is lying.

it isn't hard when you finally realize that 99% of what djt and his publicity machine says is false. it really decreases the time required.

if you take away the “R” next to his name, how many would support a guy that (not including anything that occurred while President, and certainly not an exhaustive list):

    1. Bankrupted multiple companies, leaving creditors holding hundreds of millions of dollars stranded,
    2. Presided over multiple companies successfully sued for engaging in consumer fraud,
    3. Ridiculed American prisoners of war because they got captured,
    4. Caught on tape degrading women,
    5. Was a serial adulterer,
    6. Was caught cheating charities,
    7. Sexually abused a woman, and then defamed the woman whom he abused,
    8. Created a lie out of thin air about the birthplace of a sitting President, sewing gross discord and discontent in this Country,
    9. Was caught manipulating lenders and taxing authorities by lying about the extent of his holdings, and
    10. Bullies respected leaders of our Country with third grade names.

And so much more!!! But somehow, someway, people turn a blind eye and scream, “Witch hunt”. American’s biggest bully is all of a sudden the world’s biggest victim.

Stormy Daniels would be paying you hush money.

Trump is not on trial for having an affair. Stormy was paid $130,000 for her story and then to remain silent, but Trump falsified business records to make that payment appear to be legal expenses. That's why he's on trial.

The amount of goal post shifting they continue to do on a regular basis to justify his behavior and defend him is simply astounding. Trump truly could shoot someone dead in the middle of the street and it would only increase his popularity with his base. I will never understand it. At least die on the hill defending someone who isn’t a complete moron.
