Kimber could have been good if he put effort into his playing. He'd always look back jogging to see if the ball was going deep, then it was too late. Lazy, lazy dude. Saving himself for a lifetime of unemployment.

    That and stadiums!

    Change is good.

    Go Gators.

Whatever the specifics of his injury are, I believe I have read that it was pre-existing, so, probably not a shock to the staff. Didn't sound like he was going to miss more than the spring.

It can be hard when you have multiple loafers and no leaders who hold everyone accountable.

...based on the last several defenses trotted out at UF, it's been damn near impossible. It does seem that everything that could have gone badly did. No whining about fate or the refs or much of anything outside the program. My gripe is with the sea of ineptitude that has characterized the "leadership" of this program, on every level from AD to 4* loafer, and in too many mind-numbing instances to recount - for well over a decade. I totally agree with your point, but the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to run my mouth. So, I did.

Perhaps, not true if the bench is empty.

Don’t care, I bet those Freshman would have given their all. You don’t reward people who slack off, you reward people who put the effort in.

Like this!!! One of my favorite smashmouth football hits. First Mr Spikes, then Major Wright! As Alice Cooper sang, "No more Mr. Nice Guy!"

It makes it tough when you have limited talent. You have a talented guy that loafs every third play but makes plays in between and his backup might be an untalented guy who rarely makes a play. Tough decision by the coach, but I still believe the bench is the right choice if you ever want a chance to fix the program in total.

The sad thing is that Wright's hit would be a penalty with ejection today.

    Love your thoughts!!!

Just don’t hold your breath on NCAA even looking at UGA seriously. If Kirby even gets a whiff that they’re talking about looking, he will bounce Etienne out of there in a heartbeat to keep the eyes and ears off of the Gravy Train.

The Free for All of the portal and NIL goes both ways

Not bad move, but the way FSU completely sold out to get penetration and pass rush would have freaked out ANY “first start” QB. Mertz would have been able to read it better and dump off quick.

I can’t find too much fault in Brown’s play in that game. He scared the shit out of them, and they to bring everything to stop him

It truly sucks when your most talented guys are the ones setting a bad example.

I didn't see much sell out by FSU. They dominated our OL in the second half mostly just with their 4 DLinemen. I don't think we blocked Verse once all night.

One on one they really didn’t. But what they did do is spread out a little, set one edge with a blitz, the other with the DE, stunted two of the other lineman and filled the gaps with inside blitz. They really overwhelmed us more than dominated us. They’re were bringing 6-7 to attack the backfield for the second half.

A more experienced QB most likely would have checked into other plays or just almost immediately gone to the outlet. There wasn’t going to be time for any medium or longer routes.

Either way, if Mertz played or we don’t get the stupid spitting penalty we would have had a W.

I remember our guy being in the way, but wouldn't call it blocking.

Nice analysis. So if that type of D was giving us trouble, I hope that's what our D is doing in practice to help us be better on both sides. Sounds like a good plan.

When a quarterback plays this hard, no one has an excuse.
