Yes. More reading on why walls don't work. And some more!

Try reading for a change. And with an open mind that maybe, just maybe, you don't have all the answers. And there are those out there, who are experts, with more knowledge and experience than you, that might disagree with your preconceived notions?

Oh, walls don't work? Sure, let's take the advice from the American Anthropological Association? Take a lap for posting that garbage. I didn't even click another link after that hilarious attempt to rationalize your take.

Let's ask the Border Patrol. Think they might know.

    Walls Work.

Of course you didn't click on the other links. You don't want to learn. Or even listen to those with a differing opinion. And sorry, I'll trust members of the American Anthropological Association, which includes many people with advanced degrees who have studied humanity over Border Patrol.

Guys and gals and whatever everyone else wants to be referred as: Walls don't work according to some on here. See that's weird, because if walls don't work, why did the Berlin Wall have to come down if walls don't work? Crazy, right?

The Berlin Wall was less than 100 miles in length, was surrounded by land mines, and guarded 24/7 by hundreds, if not thousands of troops, plus dogs. And yet, over the years, over 5,000 still escaped! The Berlin wall was entirely within city limits too, with easy access and roads. Really think this translates to our 2000 mile border with Mexico!

Walls like the Berlin Wall work best as a defensible position. That means heavy, 24/7 patrol, 365 days a year. And even with this kind of backing, no wall is perfect. Again, just ask Israel. Or read all the links about how every wall throughout history meant to secure borders has been a failure!

    Look in the mirror.

So your contention is that because 5,000 people crossed the Wall in germany over 28 years(178 a year) it means walls don’t work. Can’t make this shit up LOL.

178 a year, for a wall in urban area, 100 miles only, with 24/7 365 patrol with land mines plus dogs. Compared to a 2000 mile border, that goes through river, city, desert, mountains, etc. Yeah, totally comparable..

So let’s extrapolate out the 96 mile Berlin Wall to the US since you love making up BS. The US border is about 20.3 times longer than the Berlin Wall. So 178 people times 20.3 is about 3,614 people a year.

OK, genius. About how much of our 2000 mile border is urban setting? How much of our border, like the Berlin Wall, is guarded 24/7 by troops? By land mines? By dogs? Do these two pictures really show something that is analogous to the point where you can extrapolate numbers from Berlin and apply it to the entire US border?

So walls work. Thanks for admitting it. See how easy that is? Only took you a few pages LOL.

Walls work if you have 24/7 guards, dogs, and landmines around them. Take a look at the desert pic. Think this is a feasible option there?

lol. Someone finally admits walls work. So since walls do work, that’s why the US should put up a wall on our Southern border. Also enact stay in Mexico and maybe people like Laken Riley would still be alive today. That’s the whole issue. Illegals crossing and killing innocent people. The rest is you wanting open borders.

Walls work as available defensible position. If manned 24/7. Like the Berlin Wall was, not only with armed guards willing and ready to shoot, but also with dogs and landmines. I ask again, is duplication of these security measures that marked all 100 miles of Berlin Wall repeatable for all 2000 miles of US/Mexico border? Or is someone being a dim bulb again? Look at the pics of Berlin and the desert outside of Yuma again if you need to think before you answer.

So you admit walls work now. Thanks for joining with the rest of the world who already understand how walls work.

Laken Riley would be alive today if not for an illegal crossing into our country because we have no border wall. Simple as that. The rest is you making up crap. It’s funny you think people take you seriously especially after you not admitting to this day that lockdowns, school closures, masks and vaxxing kids was a huge mistake. I’ll continue to laugh at your posts and you of course will copy me because that’s all you know how to do.

I've stated many times walls work as a defensible position. Walls alone are worthless. Simple question. Do you think it's feasible to defend the wall near Yuma, in the middle of the desert, the same way the Berlin Wall was defended with armed guards ready to shoot, dogs, and landmines? Same question, but change the geography to outside of Douglas, where the terrain is mountains?

As for Riley, her killer didn't enter illegally. He requested asylum, which is a legal way to enter. If say, perhaps, we had more asylum judges, maybe the wait for a hearing wouldn't be years? But Trump didn't want Buden to have that win, and the Rs voted down the bill they compromised on.

What's awesome is now everyone sees how much of a charlatan you are concerning Laken Riley. The killer should've never been let in our country. Period. Anyone defending this person is sick. It's ok. I already know you will.

Diego Ibarra, brother of University of Georgia murder suspect, to remain in federal custody.

Diego Ibarra first allegedly entered the country illegally on April 3, 2023, and was immediately removed back to Mexico, according to court documents. The Justice Department said 27 days later he reentered and got into a scuffle with Border Patrol, allegedly assaulting and attempting to bite an agent who tried to arrest him.

After checking back in on this mind-numbing thread, I've had several already held beliefs reinforced:

    A) A densely manned wall, in which armed guards are told to shoot on sight any wall breachers, probably reduces wall traffic.

But does not eliminate it. And it would be informative to see the costs associated with sufficiently manning a 2,000 mile wall so as to be able to shoot all crossers on sight.

    B) Despite all rational expectations, crime committed by undocumented immigrants DOES sometimes happen.

However, there is a magical multi-million person workforce we could alternatively import, and this group commits zero crimes.

    C) One of the main posters on this thread is wasting their very existence: during all the time they've squandered here arguing on behalf of their beloved wall....they could instead have been at the border making material contributions to the magical wall they cherish, which would reduce illegal immigration to almost NIL.

Simple question. Do walks work? It’s a yes/no question. Not complicated.

Only a buffoon would think a large, predominantly unmanned wall would prevent determined crossers. Or would think such a wall wouldn't be summarily destroyed.

So only a buffoon would compare, say, the highly manned military walls of Israel or the former East Germany to a US border wall.

So which type of wall are we talking about? If it's a wall that is densely defended by personnel willing to kill on sight......then you are being dishonest not referring to it as such.

But a wall as a physical structure alone? Of course it doesn't deter the majority of people. Who could be fool enough to think it would? :)
