When you vote democrat, you are excusing the shooter.
And you are literally putting innocent people at risk.

Since we are abandoning serious discussion ... When you vote Republican you vote for people to have guns and shoot cops. Way to back the blue. This is a conservative policy win, right here. Enjoy it.

When you vote Republican you are literally helping every unqualified or criminal individual to have easy access to firearms, and frequently to publicly carry them with little or no training.

You are literally helping ensure that guns are sold at gun shows **cough, privately, cough** with no background check, and that 18 year olds can buy an AR-15. Even though they cannot drink.

You are literally doing this when you vote Republican. Because you hate America.

So when you said "He was convicted of trying to kill someone," you weren't saying something that is true? You just wish he had been convicted of that?

I'll give up my gun for the next decade if you will give up your automobile.

Family of NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller receives thousands in financial assistance from across LI and beyond

“The family of the NYPD officer who was fatally shot in the line of duty is getting financial help from across Long Island and beyond.

Michael Fay, of Massapequa, helped raise thousands of dollars for Jonathan Diller's family through the "With Purpose Foundation," which he created after being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer.

Barstool Sports raised $750,000 for the family by selling shirts. David Portnoy, president of the organization, matched that number for a total of $1.5 million.”

He was convicted of “attempted aggravated assault” and that’s what he went to prison for, I’m guessing that this was the charge (instead of attempted murder) had more to do with the fact he totally missed rather than the state the crime occurred in.

Obviously if you shoot and miss many can still infer an intent to kill, but I’d wonder (statistically) how often that is still charged when the victim isn’t struck at all. I think that’s more likely a function of the prosecutor wanting the certain conviction vs. whether the state is red or blue. I’m just not sure what your assertion is with this case. That liberal states don’t charge “attempted murder”? That there aren’t dangerous habitual career criminals roaming around in red states, including FL? Because both assertions would be wildly untrue.

The thing about "gun" violence is that the Dems never separate legal gun crimes from illegal gun crimes. That DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE, especially when the Left continually tries to make a case against the ownership of guns... afforded by the Second Amendment to citizens of the United States of America.

If anything, these people that have no right to even have a gun, should serve as a good reason for stiffer penalties for people caught with guns that are NOT allowed to even own them. Chicago is a city that needs stiffer laws for people that are violators of that right... along with many other big cities in the U.S.A..

A distinction between a legal crime and an illegal crime? What the hell is a legal gun crime?

    You are 100% correct, sir!

Liberal states are totally soft on crime, but those forceful manly red states are really really tough on crime!

That's why crime rates are so much lower red states!

    Oh......wait. :(

I will take a guess. I think he is saying that the liberals never separate crimes committed by legal gun owners vs those committed by people illegally having a gun. Like a convicted felon for example. I believe it would show that gun laws only work with lawful people and they are not the ones committing gun crimes in the majority of cases. Again that is just a guess at what he was attempting to say.

    Perhaps.

Of course I don’t think it’s “the liberals” that don’t study or separate that data. In fact, the ATF last year just published a study for the first time in 20 years that broadly traced the origins of guns used in crimes. Why do you think it took 20 years to even look at this? (hint: not liberals).

    https://www.npr.org/2023/02/10/1153977949/major-takeaways-from-the-atf-gun-violence-report

If you think it’s “the liberals” that don’t want you to know whether a gun is legal or illegal, you have that exactly backwards as it’s the NRA politicians that generally block that stuff from public view. It’s the extremists that want open carry, which would make it impossible for law enforcement to distinguish criminal from friendly until a person actually started shooting in view of police. Hell some of the gun crazed states have made it illegal to destroy guns seized or used in crimes. What better way to prevent gun crime than to recirculate them right back onto the streets. Amirite?
