For all the years we’ve spent (correctly) lambasting the left for its moral relativism, we’re now fully embracing a relativism of knowledge where, so long as you assert that you have “done your own research” (no matter how unqualified you may be to do that research), parroting the views of idiots who have no knowledge whatsoever about what they’re talking about is expected to be accepted as being equally valid as, you know, actual truth and facts. SMDH.

Doubling down on something Andrew Tate endorses. Best of luck on that.

Lara Logan was once a well respected journalist. I have to wonder whether that horrific assault that she experienced in Cairo in 2011 affected her psychologically.

I can’t imagine how awful it was for her, it might be playing a role.
But I also think she might tend to go where the attention and adoration are. She can pretty much say any crazy thing she wants and is labeled a hero for it and only gains her followers. That’s gotta be intoxicating. I think that’s what draws a lot of power hungry people into Trump’s orbit. It’s a rocket ship to fame and power if they play it right.

What, precisely, did you think you were going to get parroting the takes of unqualified conspiracy theorists? Claiming you’ve “done your research” is completely meaningless when your sources are fabricated or wrongly deduced by those you’ve researched.

I mean, I thought I asked a valid question, but if you choose not to answer, that's fine. And lol at dropping covid into this.

I'm hoping that the Trumppublican party will disavow its kooks before long. Probably has to come from within....

Matt Schlapp, the chairman of the American Conservative Union, discussed his concerns about an unqualified, “drug-addled” workforce hamstrung by covid lockdowns.

“I’m one of these people that believes we’ve never fully come out of all the lockdowns and the covid issues. … I’m no expert on what’s going on in the seas, but all I would say is that if you talk to employers in America they’ll tell you that filling slots with employees who aren’t drug-addled is a very huge problem.....,” Schlapp said on Newsmax.

Sadly, so much more of this...

Utah state Rep. Phil Lyman (R) blamed DEI policies for the bridge collapse. (He) shared a post online attacking Port of Baltimore Commissioner Karenthia Barber, a Black woman whose biography says she owns a consulting practice that takes on work related to DEI....

Um, not even Usain Bolt could have made it a quarter of the way. That's a long bridge and depending on where they were on the bridge, nothing short of all of them turning into Aquaman was going to save them. Try this sometime when you cross the 3 mile bridge in Pensacola, about halfway start your stop watch and calculate how long it takes you to reach the other side at speed limit speeds. 90 seconds. They were in a utility truck which isn't going to reach cruising speeds fast enough and the bridge collapses in 5 seconds after impact.

But the clincher is that the crew said the ship had massive power failures days before they left port.

Yeah I've read the articles that show that container ships have been "stolen" by hackers that have hacked the ship and steered it away so it could be plundered in a place of their choosing. And I've read how some researchers say these ships could be hacked and have their course changed to take the ship anywhere, but the biggest fear is really using them as battering rams into other ships or ports. But these are extremely difficult things to do because of proximity. These ships aren't using wi-fi to communicate. They are using satellite communication that is far more secure. Most hackers try to hack the satellite or the even the GPS satellite to fool the ship into thinking it's going this way when it's going that way. It's been done before:

    https://www.cnbc.com/2022/06/27/hackers-can-now-bring-cargo-ships-and-planes-to-a-grinding-halt.html

But this isn't one of these based on preliminary reports that the ship had numerous electrical issues days before they left harbor.

Whatever else could be said about the bridge collapse, it is an apt metaphor for the US.

It's hard to know how much people believe this stuff and how much they're just trying to stir the pot. Beyond DEI, open borders, etc., ... Politifact debunks more of the claims: Wiki doesn't prove Israel was behind it, McConnell's late sister-in-law's company doesn't own the ship, the explosion video is from Crimea, Buttigieg didn't blame racism, Netflix film didn't predict it, ship's captain isn't Ukranian ...

Baltimore bridge collapse brings baseless claims
