      Hey Zeke,

I have some fond memories of USC. Back on New Year's Day, 1974, my brother lived next door to Troy Winslow, former USC quarterback from the 1960's. His father was John Winslow, former coach of USC in the 1960's.

Anyway, I went to Los Angeles for my brother's wedding. I had too much to drink and I gave Troy a rashion of S*** about losing to Purdue in the 1967 Rose Bowl.
He took it well. In fact, he came over the next morning and handed me 2 Rose Bowl tickets. He said, "Here Dermott, these are for you. I have the flu and I cannot go."
40-yard line 13 rows up. And I sat next to Troy's parents. The epitome of class!!!

Ever since, USC has had a special place in my heart. However, I am concerned about Lane Kiffin, your Athletic Director who left Pete Carroll swinging in the wind, and the ghosts that may be dug up by the NCAA Rules Committee.

My hope is that USC has way too much clout and the NCAA will leave it all alone. What are your thoughts?

      Dermott
