The original question was directed more towards wishing Islam to disappear, but as threads frequently do this one twisted, turned and deviated from its original proposition. Religion in general, not just any specific one, has come under scrutiny and become the subject of whether or not it serves...

The end of one year and the start of another is an appropriate time to start a new venture. For some years now I've been keeping a journal to reflect my thoughts and musings back to myself. It's a useful tool that frequently helps me sort out my conflicts and confusions about mostly ordinary things. A good many deeply personal and angst ridden out-pourings also fill its virtual pages as it is not a physical book that could be lost or read by someone who has no business looking between its lines....

This is actually my second attempt at an initial blog entry. As with many ventures in life, the first did not run according to plan. Settling down 2 days ago with my old Toshiba laptop, I detailed my reasons for blogging and outlined what I envisioned it might be. I worked and re-worked the entry 'til I was reasonably satisfied with it and almost ready to actually post it.

Trucker and I have 3 computers in the house. An old desktop Dell we've had for more years than I can remember....
