Gator Country

this is short, mainly to remind myself i had something to say about the demise of halloween, but having worked on my page till i had gotten some damn palm trees in that lower right corner of the page...to fill that bothersome emptiness...it is now 1:26 am. cst. so its time for bed. i'll revisit this topics, and continue wondering...wtf happened to halloween as we knew it. when people went out trick or treating, sans parents, streets loaded with kids...well, till tomorrow.

the typical october night. steady soft rain, temperature heading down from 55, to eventually 41. (still, the fern's ok with that, and the water and humidity will be nice. i like to leave it out as long as humanly possible before resigning it to a life in the musky basement near a small basement window, and a little 60 watt bulb action),
but it'll be sunny and 55-60, breezy. by the time, hopefully, i head out the door, its that time of year when bits of damp leaves get tracked into your home...

locked up. so i was left mid sentence. something about another round of empty nest syndrome, or emptier nest syndrome. they moved out but they didn't go far. so they were still over visiting a lot, we'd cook out, have our holidays, go to dinner together, even concerts. >sigh

well i didn't ask my husband to share the computer last night, he seemed to really be engrossed in something...(porn? lol) real estate......and since i'm the real computer hog in this family, i didn't complain. i always just hopes he'll see me sitting on the couch, bored, longing for the computer, and hand it to me saying, 'here you go' which is most times the case. last night was one of those aberrations. and today i took time off for a doc appt, thyroid test, chest x ray (used to smoke 7 yrs...

it sucks to live in a boring town that has absolutely nothing to do. 35,669 total population. and like you, your friends are married. they're at home with their spouses, probably not doing more than watching tv though. mine is at work which does mean i have possession of the remote, but on saturday i keep it on espn anyhow...unless we have a game to watch on a different channel. could not watch uk play arky today. why it was not carried, i have...
