Gator Country

i haven't blogged in a long long while, have been watching the country tear itself apart in earnest. scary times we live in, people, scary times. at least to me, not the farthest left leaning person you will ever meet, i know some folks on 'too hot' that are pretty moderate and could say there's a few things we've agreed on, and just not 'go gators' either.

on watching jon stewart's rally yesterday, calling for people to listen to each other, and basically, bring back sane discourse....

such a loaded topic these days, with so much untruth floating around and its so hard for some to pluck the real from the unreal. and its surprizing to me that no one has picked up on the fact that naturally, big insurance companies would not want these proposals to pass, to save their own skins and their own profits, which, during the last 7 yrs exceeded a 400% increase. and these very companies hold some very public figures in their pockets. lets get down to brass tacks: the uninsured cost us a...

so now we're nearly into the very hot month of july....soon we celebrate the birth of our country, our nation. normally, the spouse and i go to the fair, old time fun, and try to get stuck on top of the ferris wheel to catch the fireworks. (we've accomplished this feat twice, its the best view you can get, with a touch of old fashioned romance)

but lots to talk about. have a son now finished boot camp and stationed at miramar n.a.s. in san diego, we've been out there before, my mom lived in san diego and worked at miramar. he's going to totally enjoy it....
