The "Black Knight" Satellite

I read something kind of interesting on the internet today.

Back in 1953, scientists discovered something orbiting the earth. And it wasn't the moon.

It was reported again in 1957, following one of the Sputnik satellites launched by the Soviet Union. And then again in 1960.

There were articles in popular newspapers and magazines about it, and it was dubbed, "The Black Knight."

Lettuce: The most useless vegetable?

What the heck is up with lettuce? If it tastes like anything at all, it's bitter. It has virtually no nutritional value and takes up valuable hamburger space that could be better used by more flavorful toppings like tomatoes, onions, cheese and bacon.

And don't tell me that it's useful for salad. I have the same complaint. It really tastes like nothing and the only way I can eat it is if I slather it in salad dressing.

Just say no to lettuce! I won't stand for...
