Folks,

Due to popular demand last year, we've decided to roll out a brand new "Girls of Gator Country" calendar in a very classy format that features fellow girls who are Florida Gator fanatics.

All are Florida Gators - some are former players (volleyball, for example), some are cheerleaders, some are students, etc. All bleed Orange and Blue!

Shortly before Christmas last year I found myself hit with tumultuous waves of emotional upheaval. Most of it having been brought on by the marriage of my daughter in mid-December and the resulting change in our family dynamic. My three married children and four grandchildren all live in other states; the closest is almost 1000 miles away. I see them fairly frequently but not all holidays are spent together. They have the in-laws to see, also. I respect that but it doesn't help much to mitigate...

Dirty floors annoy me. Sand and leaves get tracked in, crumbs get dropped, lint accumulates and dust bunnies spawn under furniture. It becomes an unattractive distraction from the orderliness I prefer in my home and I just don't like the feel of grit under my bare feet when I walk through the house. It's easy enough to eliminate. Though I'm not reticent about blogging on spiritual or moral themes I've shied away from overtly Christian topics until today. Not that I am by any means embarrassed or ashamed of my faith, but religion - even loosely termed - tends to be polarizing. I had a different vision for my little corner of GC so my themes for the most part have had a more ecumenical approach.
