bowl selection night!!!

oh yeah baby, we've done it again...or rather, our exalted gators have done it again...going to the national title again.....
and even my hubby got a piece of the pie....kentucky got a higher ranked bowl than the last two year's appearances at the music city bowl....they moved on up to the liberty bowl.
lots of things going on. holidays almost upon us, another NC within our grasp, my son doing alright in the marines so far....
and i have gotten my tree up, and due to the fact that my leg is pretty much healed, i have gone and decorated my much beloved 'man's room' as some would call it, i call it the bar...because it is, with a bar and stools, a pool table and dart board...and all the sports and music and traveling paraphernalia i could lay my hands on. and its so festive and has always been a great place for a holiday party. time to toast the new and away with the old. good times are coming.
we have a new pub, too...throw out the old memories, and start some new ones. we've got a great group of people, and some more troubling elements have been taken out with the trash. friendly and pleasant, intelligent folks, gator fans, the best folks in the world. floridians, or ex floridians...a great bunch of people, and i'm happy to be part of it. i like the change, i like starting over. i am not hearing snarling and double talk, and i don't miss that..or the great green mask of envy. gone, gone, gone.
and i love new challenges and changes...am so looking forward to getting into a nice new pool home as soon as humanly possible. this house is looking good, we've worked hard, and it was a lovely quaint house to start with. looking forward to being in the warmth, the snow (especially around these holidays) was fun, and truly beautiful on christmas morns ( i had the pleasure of enjoying 5 white christmases here) has gotten 'old' as you can't stay home and watch it snow out the window, you must go to work in it, and my beautiful baby mustang doesn't like the snow...not at all...she's a fair weather car...she wants to go to florida too, lol...
so with only a few weeks left in this year, and lots of good changes have happened, and it looks like some more exciting changes on the way, 2009 is going to be an adventure for all of us...
next year i plan to spend my birthday with my birthday buddy, sipping lots of wine, by someone's pool.....and one of our wonderful husbands can be our designated drivers.
