I only taught private Methodist preschool when my daughter was that age, so I had the best of both worlds.... a little cash and she went with me for social development.

now that was a gig, I would have done for free!!!! LOVED IT!

We lived in Tampa during the preschool years. We left the state right before they started Kindergarten. They went to the JCC preschool and would have gone to Broward Elementary if we had stayed.

I have a friend with kids in a charter school in Tampa. They're very pleased.

I had MANY friends teach at JCC and they felt the same about their jobs~ then they went back to public after their kids got older for the benefits and salary increase.

Most church affiliated preschools in the area have awesome programs and pull in "real" teachers who want to spend time with their own youngsters during the early years....

My own 2 were products of Public Education and we bought our house for the "school" zone..... they are Gator Grads and doing great with their choices. Son is doing residency in Boston, Daughter is getting Nursing Masters......

It was beautiful flying in, there were a couple of inches of fresh snow and a brilliant sunny day. The fresh snow has a light blue hue when the sun hits it just right.

Good Morning from balmy Alachua, 53 outside right now with a high of 79 expected. I've got to remove a "Big" Sweetgum (Liquid Amber styarciflua) and a fairly large Laurel Oak (Quercus hemispherica) today. As much as I love pruning and caring for trees the removal of big nasty trees get my endorphins pumped and I attack it with a gusto unmatched. Gosh I love this work. Don't know what I'll do when the time comes when I can't do it anymore. That day isn't close yet ... Yahoo ...

I'm saying good morning right before going to bed.
It's 4:15am here. I worked on year end items then could not sleep so I watched Mel Gibson in that Revolutionary War movie. I gave it 10 fingers down. Maybe it's better in the afternoon or evening.

This BCS game is starting to feel anti climatic to me after what we had to do just to make it to the THE Game.
I Know "This Feeling too shall pass."
Think I'll on sleep on it.

Irvine is a small town south of Gainesville~ right off interstate 75. Close enough to heaven, but in beautiful horse/farming country.

I expect it to be like a little piece of heaven after driving through there

It would be a great little town, if there were still a town there :)
The town disappeared decades ago & the real reason there is an exit on I 75 to a non town is that one of the old Pork Choppers (North Fl legisltaors who fought reapportionment as the Florida population centers grow south of the panhandle) had a crate & basket factory 200 yards from the current exit on I-75. He and his Buddies in the Fl Legislature extorted the exit in return for smoothing the way for the right of way purchase.

It is in the Horse Country portion fo Marion Counrty & my place is scrub but has as its western neighbor a Horse Farm development with pastures, common barns & stallion quarters for horse owner residents livestock to use.

Neat place to live.

First day of vacation and I must go ot the mall. Have to return something I got my Mom. I bought her something and the clerk said she had one already wrapped. Turned out not to be the same item :angry:

Taking advantage of vacation to stay up later and sleep in, a treat that I do not get often. Foggy here in Irvine, yesterday we opened the day with a visit from our resident Barred Owl and at dusk had a dozen or so Turkeys waddle thu on their way do forage for their dinner............

started the spaghetti sauce pot re-simmering at 7 am, going to cook about 10 hours all totaled- should be enough to feed 20, of course we will feed 2 ten times :)

House still smell of spaghetti sauce, started cooking on Friday and finished Saturday, ended up with 2 nice pans of lasagne & 4 large freezer bags of scrumptious sauce.

hey gang of pubster's, not just getting up, just getting on. took my daughter back yesterday. drove through bad weather much of the way, had 3/4" frozen in my rain gauge this morning. had to change a flat tire on my work truck this morning. the puppies are running this fine a.m. have a great one! hey gang, no access this morning. trip to san diego started badly yesterday. i was supposed to get here at 4:20 yesterday afternoon, well at 1:00am i checked into the hotel, but i don't have the energy right now.
