The pilot is doing the flying. That ain't me. The dude in the back just works the radar and the weapons system. Missiles, bombs and such. The newest strike fighters almost fly themselves. Naval Aviators these days are spoiled. But, if you ask any pilot that has flown the TOMCAT they will tell you that it was a sweet machine but very challenging to land on the ship and to troubleshoot airborne problems (gripes).

next May~ the only break they have "together" other than Christmas due to his med school and her Nursing Practioner School

therefore that is why we got so much settled now~ this is our last break til the day.

Believe me it will take until then to do the "details" she is wanting ( ie. name tags, chair decorations, invitations, STDates, favors, and on and on. .. . ) Only daughter = detailed filled wedding!

I was up at 6:30, went to the couch, put on HBO and have been out until now. It was great. Won't do a damm thing today except cut some grass. Good work on the weight drop Kash. I dropped 20 lb's this spring but not on purpose.

Morning V. My wife's dad was a middle school art teacher in Inverness for 35 years. He flat out refused to do that team building stuff at the beginning of each year (they had some consultant come in, yuck). You should protest too. Use words like poppycock and horsepookie, speak loudly and confidently, and be prepared to storm out.

must be our "seasoned" ages that has us just over it....
I love teaching
I love the kids
But this is absolutely painful for me!
I want to work in my room and be ready ~ just makes so much more sense to me.

V Sounds like little has changed since I was in the classroom in Fort Pierce, all we wanted was time to get ready & it seemed like all the management wanted was to come up with obstacles in the form of meetings to keep us from preparing on paid time......

Glad to see this Saturday roll in, get to take the grandkids to the Palm Coast Family Fun Day, lots of fun for the little tykes & another great excuse for Grandpa & Oma to spend time with them while their Mom & Dad finish up final touches on their new house.

well autumn hath returned again...we had a 'spell' of autumnlike weather a couple weeks ago (highs in low eighties or high seventies, lows in low sixties or high fifties) then it went back to thunderstorms, and highs in low nineties, or high eighties....nightimes were in the mid seventies...
but today, its not gotten out of the high seventies, and going down to fifty four tonight. looks like with the exception of wednesday, will be like this for the next ten days. while it feels refreshing, it is a harbinger of the winter that is to come.

I went for 45 minute power walk, I feel better now. Looks like today was first day or one of the first days of school for the wee ones. A couple sets of parents were with the tykes at the bus stop, and one of them had the camera taking pics.

No kidding. One of my old college roomates who was a baseball player transferred to Jax State way back when. Next thing you know FSU will be in a dogfight against Stetson. Did you guys see all those fans dressed up as empty seats in Joke Shambles last night?
