Been meaning to post here. For the last couple weeks, I've been doing the "night shift," staying up until oh . . . around 2/3 pm. Of course, being in Taiwan has something to do with that. :wink:

relaxing now watching Dr Strangelove, spent the day blanching & freezing white acre peas and perfecting a chocolate mousse pie to surprise my better (far better if truth be told) half who is spending the day driving to & from Sarasota for a meeting.

park city is fun in the summer... you can ride a lift up to the top of a mountain and hike/bike around. there is also the alpine slide, which is a lot of fun too. you will have to walk up and down main street, lots to see and do there. you could easily spend a full day just doing main street. salt lake is alright, but park city is one of my favorite places in utah. how long will you be here?

Just now getting internet access, good morning Gators, welcome to the longest day of 2012. time to make a key lime pie to go with the steak, zipper cream peas & turnip greens I'll be serving for a late lunch :)

she's tough, she's always taken care of herself, eats healthy, exercises, and lives by herself in a gated community. she recently gave up her car and is now bitching that she had to, lol, i love her spirit.
she had a broken hip maybe 8 years ago and had a total hip replacement, and that worried me cuz a lot of older folks don't come back from that well. but she did, eventually having NO trouble at all going up and down the stairs to her last apartment. she amazes me. and she has all of her mental faculties, i only hope i'm able to live like her, at her age.
but i'll be down there for her when she gets out of rehab, and give her 2 weeks worth of tlc, and out for a celebratory dinner. they said a month! that's incredibly quick, and i'm glad, cuz i know she wants to get back home. recently she said,''you know, i'm not ready to 'kick the bucket yet'', and i laughed, cuz it's so her, and i said ''that's good, cuz i'm not ready for you to do that either!''

Kerect, about that V. It would be unusual if we don't get rain. It is fortunately becoming the norm. We need to store it up for the dry months. The only problem would be ground saturation in case of a hurricane. Yikes, lets not even go there.

We have six of our grandchildren and their three parents, our kids of course. We have done this for years and call it grandkids week.

Three grand nieces and nephews join in for a couple of days also.

Really want a MacBook--do you love yours?
I learned computers on a MAC, but for a period of time, they fell behind and I was convinced to get a pc... I hated it until the day it died. Didn't not consider for one mano-second to try a repair. Opened the door to buy my beautiful, slim, sleek, awesome MAC. I am forever happy about it. PCs suck.
