^^^^^^^That V. We are in deep muck if John doesn't get healthy. I don't care that posters are saying he isn't very good either. At least he has more game experience than the freshmen. They have been thrown to the wolves. We have too many breakable players. They are just all banged up. Matt Patchen has been like a china doll his whole career at UF. He now plays like he is afraid of getting hurt. I am not sure, considering his history that I blame him.:beat::sad:

V, he feels the best he has felt in a long time. He has his strength back, his appetite and taste buds are good. He will have the reversal of his Ileostomy November first. It will be a two hour surgery and five day stay. He is actually looking forward to being down to one bag. I just hope it doesn't set him back too much. Thanks for asking.

Of course we are all disappointed, but we have to give this young beat up team a chance. The thing that does bothers me is that they have no cohesiveness between them. No all for one, one for all attitude. I an giving Coach a pass this year, new recruits coming in should help him next year. Yes. It is wait until next year again.

So many people are frustrated, with UF football, the economy, their job or lack there of, the future...
Sometimes it seems like ya need to circle the wagons to protect what you've got.
Feel myself shaking my head at behavior of people that I hoped would know better.
Anybody seen "Grapes of Wrath" lately? One thing that is missing today with so many is a lack of caring about others--"but it's ME!!" philosophy.

I am so jealous jdr. I have never picked apples, but always wanted to. I can imagine walking in an apple orchard and smelling apples. Do they have a fragrance on the tree?

It was my first time (I'm no longer an apple picking virgin, yeah!!!). It was fun. Picked about three dozen apples,and bought a few pumpkins and some apple cider. The orchard is really large with thousands of apple trees.

The only smell while we were picking was of some rotten apples since many of them fall from the tree. But otherwise, it just smelled like being outside.

There were at least 500 people at the place when we went. The cool part was that the orchard sits atop of a mountain, about 3/4 of a mile from Thomas Jefferson's Monticello home in Charlottesville, VA. The drive up the mountain was a bit tense with so many cars and no guardrails, steep cliffs and mostly dirt road.

we live on 30 acres in the scrub between Gville and Ocala, they are 7 & almost 4 and love just hanging out in their fort/playhouse/playground. This afternoon the 7 year old led her brother and me on a mile and a half walk through woods clearing the deadfall from the paths as we went. For now they are just where they want to be, their last visit was summer and we took them back to the Florida Museum of Natural History and the Butterfly Pavilion - they get a kick out that trip, of course so do my wife and I. More of the same tomorrow then in the car headed to their house in Palm Coast to be ready for school on Wednesday

We were at the Smoky Mtn National park all afternoon yesterday with our long term friends from Jax seeing the Elk that have been reintroduced. They are magnificent animals.

They will give him something to jump start the bowel today and slowly give him some fluids, ice chips only so far. We are going to watch the game together this afternoon. Thanks all. Jerry is extremely happy to be home. He has quite enough of that hospital. He is still waiting for that big event. The doctor said it could take two or three days for the gut to start functioning properly again. So far just passing a little gas. I am just waiting for my Gators to win a football game. Flip is living "off the chain" with some of our old friends from early marriage when we lived in Louisiana ... crazy Cajuns, some of his old college buddies and his business partner.... yelling for his team to beat LSU in T Town. He hasn't been back in years and he is trying to pack it all in this weekend.

I'm going to watch some game day, and spend the rest of the day watching football ~ lesson plans done!!! TIME TO CHILL
