Monday mornings suck, especially if you are headed to the hospital. My Husband has to have some surgery this morning. I am not sure what exactly they will decide to do. He has to have some bladder stones removed and an x ray of his rectum to determine the extent of a fistula that has developed between his bladder and his rectum. Sorry for being so explicit, but that is the reason for this procedure. He is in quite a predicament. Please pray that the doctors will be guided in this delicate procedure. I just hope no further damage will be done.

We will be watching the game tonight. He is really into this CWS, rooting for the Gator boyz of summer, Me too!!!

Good Tuesday morning all. I did not have a good day yesterday, nor did I get a good report. My Husband has a least two or three more surgeries ahead of him. He did have a fistula between his bladder and colon wall large enough to put a finger through. He will have to see a colorectal surgeon to repair that. He will go back to Dr Ordorica to get a fix for his bladder. Probably a tube in his stomach directly into his bladder with a catheter and leg bag the rest of his life. It is all due to the radiation he had for prostate cancer.

Needless to say keeping up his morale and self worth is a challenge for me. He will have to have a clostomy bag while the fistula heals. Not good in his eyes, but a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do. This was surgery number eight at Tampa General for him.

Please continue to remember us in your prayers. My stress level is on high alert. Thanks to my Gator buddies for your prayers and concern for me and Mr Mama.

Oh, forgot to say he came home with a Foley catheter in place to keep his urine from coming out the wrong way. This until they can take care of his colon problem.

Thanks all, you guys are the bestest. He is feeling pretty miserable today. He is still leaking some blood in his bag, which they said would be normal. He is seeing the colorectal surgeon on July, 6th, The urologist on the 7th. They will collaborate on the surgery and do it together. He is more than a little nervous and trying to stay positive. I told him that is half the battle. He told me he doesn't know what he would do without me. You know what? I told him I am not going anyplace. I will be right there with him all the way. He is the love of my life, soul mates, who can almost finish each others sentences. We are going to be fine, with our friends behind us and by the grace of God.

Happy Thursday all. Thanks for the prayers. Hubby is trying to adjust. Right now just finding a comfortable way to sit is a challenge. A hard seat is impossible. The only way he can find comfort is to lie down, or sit in his big recliner. It is his Archie Bunker chair. He gets grumpy if anyone else sits in it. Good Saturday all. I am so proud of Sully and our boyz of summer. Loved the way they kept their poise and got out of a tight situation. They had me at scared when Vandy had the bases loaded, but only allowed them one run. The Boyz came back strong, loading the bases as well. Cody Dent made a great play. I remember when his Father Bucky played for the New York Yankees. He was shortstop and was MVP of the World Series in 1978. He appeared in swim trunks in Playgirl 1983 issue. Now his Son plays and we got him.

Go Gators Monday. Gotta beat those Cocks into submission. Regardless of who wins the SEC rules college baseball again this year.

Morning all, grandkids week going strong. We went in mass to the local fireworks last night.

Yesterday was mums birthday and talking to her with half a world between us was the only bright spot in my day. I went to six flags yesterday in Atlanta. I was there when they opened and from 10:30-4:30 I was only able to ride 3 roller coasters. Two rain delays and the second one we waited two hours to get on the superman ride and they buckled us in and all but sent us when they told us to get off. No, not just to the front of the line but we had to go away from the whole platform. I was so tired of that place we just left. Wasted my summer "fun" budget on nothing.

Thanks V. We traipse back to the other Doctor this afternoon. The one yesterday scared the Hell out of him. He drew a diagram for us of the way he will cut the Fistula out of the colon section, then stitch it back up. That will take 4 or 5 hours. The Urologist will add his time on, we will know today. Well my finals were yesterday and the second split term starts today. I struggled in math last semester but only needed a d on the final to get a c.

Thanks all, it is going to be very complicated. He has to have a stress test before they can schedule the surgery. It will be a 7 or 8 hour surgery and a 7 to 10 day hospital stay, barring any complications. They are now going to take the prostate, bladder, most of his Urethra out. He will have a stoma. The section of colon where the hole is will be cut out and stitched back together. His colostomy bag will be reversed after that heals. In the meantime he will be a two bagger. I know there are others with bigger problems than we have, so I apologize for being a drama Queen this morning. I just had a little panic attack. Mama

Lost our mailbox to a reckless driver early Saturday am, he lost control of his car at 120 mph while trying to elude the Sheriff's deputy and hit a glancing blow on a huge oak then careened through our mail box. The mailbox was on the ground when we went out for lunch yesterday and signs of an accident were strewn around but we got the details when a Marion Sheriff's deputy knocked on our door last night at about 10 pm to give us the scoop :)

I sit here this morning realizing I do not have to prepare for classes this year and I can get used to sleeping later so that my morning doesn't start until about eight o'clock. I would have posted good morning earlier but my wife had a project I needed to do for her this morning for her garden club meeting.

But good morning and I am liking this leisurely morning stuff. :)

Yes we did, over and over. We had it deactivated. My insurance was a $45.00 deductible. Thank God I insisted on getting it. It is the first phone I have ever lost and the first time I opted for the insurance.

Hello Tuesday Gators, have a good one. We have a surgery date. It is July 27th, first one that morning. The cardiac screening went well yesterday. The pre-op will be July 20th. He will get blood work, chest x ray etc. He is more than ready to just get it over with.
