TGIF! Looking for a pretty nice weekend weatherwise in in NCFl. Expecting some rain Saturday or Sunday but warm and mostly pleasant. Need some sunny time outside to begin to assess the freeze damage and start cleaning up all the blowdown from the recent winds, place looks like it does after a moderately strong hurricane mixed with a killer freeze.

It is tradition for the weather to suck for Gasparilla. We had our boat at Tampa Cruise a Cade Club about 25 years ago and it rained 6 inches in two hours. One of our boat club members had to sleep in another boat because his pump didn't work and his boat almost sank. I thought we were going to have to build an Ark. That was the most rain I have ever seen in so short a period of time.
I can count on two hands the good weather for Gasparilla. I mean, rain, cold, windy, or all three.

So much for getting snow .... 1 1/2" of ice would be more accurate. Currently 28 and dropping, low of 16 tonight.
So tomorrow morning the roads, and everything will be a solid sheet of ice. Hope it doesn't start taking out transformers.

we got a buncha snow. not sure how much. somewhere around 8 or 9 inches at least. i left work early, and almost left TOO late. it hit kinda hard fifteen miles north of town. got home, just in time to watch it come down heavy enuff to cover the driveway and everything else. but its so pristine and white out there its beautiful. must take pics. do not want to take the dogs out though.....

Try some honey, whiskey and lemon juice V. All together in a tablespoon. My Grandma used to put musterole on our chests soaked on a flannel cloth. Boy I hated that smell. Opened up my nose though.

Mama, Sounds like we had Mamas who used the same remedies - I remember the Rock n Rye jar in the pantry with whiskey, honey & lemon - damned sure did the trick- we used Vicks instead of the muscarole tho.

I am turning the Palm Coast house into infirmary this morning, going to have an under the weather Miranda Rae as well as her little brother Cale- always have Cale for Tuesdays and Thursdays but their Mom wanted to keep MR home from school and still go in to work si I get a sick princess and a 2 yr old samurai until 1 p :) Prayers welcomed :)

Ooo, a story to share:

When I went out last night, there was a police car with its lights on down the street. Didn’t think too much about it. When I came home, there were three police cars there. Nothing really going on, they were just sitting there.

Fast forward to this morning. I psyched myself up and went for a walk in this cold weather. When I got to the corner where the “action” was last night, there were red splatters of *something* all over the sidewalk. Didn’t know if it was blood or paint. Anyway, I kept going. On my way back, I remembered I had my phone with me and decided to go back and take a picture of the splotches. Too late, the home owner was already out there and hosing it down. We decided it must have been blood, cuz paint would have been dry. He was unaware of the police activity outside his house – said he and his wife slept right through it. This house is two doors down from where the teenage thug lives – the one I saw break into the house across the street from me. Cops picked him up for that; I guess he has escalated from vandalism to something a little more serious :ninja:

Yahoo .. Saturday Morning. It doesn't get much better than this. It's almost 50 degrees to start the day. Valentina and I went to the Mac last night to watch Gator Baseball kick off it's season with a 6 - 2 win over USF. We had great seats and a great time. In about 20 minutes or so I'm going on a long walk in the woods with Tucker (my Lab). The day is picking up stem as it moves along ...

Looks like a great day- going to meet my wife for BBQ over in Newberry, gives her a nice break midway in her motorcycle ride from Palm Coast and a great excuse to enjoy some good BBQ -- have a great day!!!

Good Morning My Friends. We had fun yesterday, we went to the inaugural Lacrosse game at Dizney Stadium. Great, state of the art stadium and the girls dominated the Jax Dolphins 16 - 6. The place was filled to capacity, actually overflowing Pretty fun. Had two of my granddaughters over last night as well. Great day. Hope today goes as well ...

Late to the party this morning, had to stazy up and catch the ESPN Sports Center to be sure they gave our Gators props for the huge win over the Vols last night. Coverage was appropriate and we got some good kudos for a stellar win :) If they keep up the level of play I saw last nogth they have a shot for a mid level seed in the Dance.
