Amen Skie! Long week, hate all the bad pub the talking heads are piling on our Gators! Such is the way of Living Large on the National stage though I hardly think had a similar incident happened at USC or Texas that the Furor among the Chattering Class would have been so Virulent.

Championship Gameday is upon us. I can't sleep like a kid on Christmas. 4 o'clock can't get here fast enough. Morning fellow pubbers and Go Gators.

Leahy, when I got here a thousand years ago, the "Wait Till Next Year" was our rallying cry, and it took 15 years to snuff it out. Since then, we have 5 NC's (FB & BB), 7 title game appearances and a laundry list of SEC titles. The sleeping giant has awoken.

Good Mourning all...

The wife talked me down, but she was right...

and to follow up that sentiment, IT's STILL GREAT TO BE A FLORIDA GATOR.

I was recently explaining to my UVA fan friends that it's tougher to be a Gator right now because hopes and expectations are so much higher. I remember the days when Hopes exceeded expectations. Hall is now at PSU, and Spurrier came in as I was going out.

When I'm feeling like this, or like I was last night I always try to find perspective.

When I was in the Navy, we were leaving the Gulf. I had this "kid" that worked for me in Main 2. His best friend through elementary school all the way to high school joined the Navy together, enlisted together, and went to boot camp together. When they were assigned to their ships they were seperated, his best friend went to the U.S.S. Cole and was one of the firemen that died on the mess decks. He found out as we were leaving the gulf; his friend's battle group was the battle group that relieved us. We were in that exact same port just a few weeks earlier.

Sorry for the depressing catharsis.
