Found this thread on NY Jets forum..I was hoping that they would let him go and he could give it a try with another team, but some folks supposedly in the know say otherwise. There's a lot of time between now and then and who knows what is reality and what is BS. I don't put a great deal of stock into this information but thought I'd post it FWIW.

Marty Mornhinweg is talking again this morning and it sounds like there's a very good chance that Tim Tebow will continue to be a NY Jet...and Marty will find how to make it work.

New Jets OC Mornhinweg on Tebow "I've talked to Tim and he's part of this football team...we had a long discussion and some thoughts there."Kristian Dyer (@KristianRDyer)

Mornhinweg on Tebow: "The man can play football, how to utilize him is the key." Kristian Dyer (@KristianRDyer)

Bad news how?! If it's really true, that means Tebow will be in the NFL this year. Either he's a Jet or they are just trying to increase his trade value to try to get something for him. Either way, he may not be on the team people here want him to be on, but still in the NFL.

That's better than the possible alternative where he gets released and nobody picks him up.

Let's hope the MM/TT Gator connection helps!

Yeah, I don't see it. i don't think they keep him around. I hope they can trade him or let him hook up with a team that can use him.

No matter what happens with Tim this year, he would do well to work on studying film, working on his footwork and his mechanics. He should focus on learning the position (NFL quarterback). He cannot let his desire to start now take his focus off of that and onto playing fullback, covering on special teams, or any other crap that he Jets have in score.
He needs to get selfish concerning his future- now.

I agree as far as stoping with the fullback or receiver or personal punt protector stuff. Develop qb skills, and cut out the other nonsense.

I see an end to Tim's career here. I could see him working on his tools but it'll have to take some faith in the system. Is his faith in the NFL greater than his faith in another career?

With the signing today of ex Jag QB I think they will try and use Tebow in draft day trade and if that happen they will cut him......

He'll be on an NFL roster next year, book it. I garununtee it. How much he plays, that I don't know. (Or what position)

There's no way he stays with the Jets. Either they'll take whatever they can get for him or they'll dump him. Whether that happens soon or closer to the draft is up in the air. It's the best option for both sides.

Behind Gronk and Hernandez. Good plan.

Marty's son plays for the Gators so hopefully he will show some loyalty to a fellow Gator.

He's got money. If he doesn't start this year, he should retire and do something relating to ministry work. He can do a lot of good in this world. Look at Danny W.

The way it has gone for Tim, the Jets will probably keep him until late in the preseason and then release him after most teams have set their roster.
It seems like the Jets are determined to ruin Tim's career.

Maybe the NFL is not worthy of Tebow.

This

His career is reminding me a lot of Doug Flutie...no one ever gave him a shot, dude goes to the CFL, wins like 2 or 3 championships or something like that...pretty much Drew Brees before Drew.

I think Mornhinweg is blowing smoke.
As above...they're talkin him up for trade and if no one bites, it's sayonara and good riddance to the clownish Jets. His next stop is problematic.

I think this is what may happen. They string him along and then dump him. He needs to wake up and ask to be released and try to catch on with a team that will give him a chance. The Jets are jerking him around even more than I thought they would.

I'd really love to see him in Seattle...reunited with Percy even if he doesn't play much.

I still think Tebow may end up being brought in as a back-up for RGIII in Washington, Cam Newton in Carolina, Russell Wilson in Seattle, Kaepernick in SF or maybe Vick in Philly. Or maybe a team that brings in that style of QB.

I don't think any team is going to bring Tebow in at this point with the intent of giving him a shot at competing for the starting job.

That's not to say that Tebow can't impress the coaches and earn that chance, or that injury to one of those starters doesn't ultimately make Tebow a starter. I'm just saying I don't think there's a team in the NFL that views him as a serious potential starter.
