I know there are some serious music fans on this board and I know there some Ginger Baker fans here, too. If you are one of those persons then you owe it to yourself to watch the documentary titled "Beware of Mr Baker.:" It is simply outstanding in most every way as it reveals the genius and insanity of drumming legend, Ginger Baker. Take a look at the clip and see what I am talking about.

The fact that he is still alive is quite amazing, really. I remember playing drums early on and wondering why I could not duplicate what he was doing. Reasons: A. not good enough. B. Not crazy enough. C. Not doing the right massive concoction of drugs. D. All of the above.

Read a review of this film a few months ago on the AV Club. Sounds very intriguing. I was a huge Ginger Baker fan when I was young. Loved seeing that reunion concert on TV a few years ago. He was amazing in that performance. Much more of a jazz style now, but mind blowing.

I think you would really have an appreciation for it.

Interesting vid here as well on Baker. Is a 'different' sort of person no doubt, but an amazing drummer...still.
