Duke down 13 to unranked Virginia with 8 min to go. A UVA win should secure their NCAA spot and secure an ACC title for Miami, regardless of the Canes Sat matchup with Duke. Watching Duke its hard to see them even as a 2 seed.

No surprise. Conference road game against a good team with an energetic crowd. Figured UVA would probably win.

So much for ESPN's "big matchup" for Saturday.

Agree. Desperate bubble teams who need a signature win in late February at home somehow tend to find them.
I bet UVA loses their next game though, whoever its against.

Media has to be so disappointed. I know how much they were looking forward to blowing Duke and putting them at #1.

Another court rush allowed. It's up to four now for Duke this season.

Final Uva wins 73-68. Harris with 36. Fans storm court.

It's their 4th loss people. Let's not hyperventilate and drop them to a #3 seed. They are still a #1 seed as of this moment. That said, it's always great to see Duke lose.

Nobodies hyperventilating, just noting how crappy duke looked tonight. As of this moment, i seriously doubt they are a 1 seed anywhere. After this loss they will need to beat your Canes Sat to get back in the discussion. My opinion of course.

They are similar to us in that they have a guy returning soon in Kelly that totally changes the identity of their team when he's finally back in the lineup. Just like our UT loss, this UVA loss means little in the post season picture. If they want a 1 seed they just have to win out like us.

I think Duke will beat UM & retain a #1 seed if they don't currently have it. Virginia isn't a sub-100/150 RPI team like the two that beat Miami.

Welp according to one of our posters this should make Duke a 4 seed now.

They now have 4 road losses in conference play. According to some people, this means Duke has no shot for the nc.

I would think Miami might be a bit concerned. There will be alot of pressure not to lose 2 games in a row.

A highly-motivated Duke playing at home in front of a frenzied crowd will beat Miami.

Virginia has had a pretty good year. Beat Duke, NC State, NC and has some good players. I hope we don't draw them first game. They are tougher than the last 15 years of Virginia teams.

Virginia is probably better than all but 1 or 2 SEC teams. 20-9 with a 10-5 conference record in the ACC is signs of a solid team. Losing to Penn State is a worse loss.

Yes, but Duke also has 5 top 50 wins away from home. We have 1.

Coach K has his panties in a bind because a student got up in his face after the game.

Yeah he needs to get over that. His students commonly have their fingers about a foot away from the faces of opposing players at Cameron.

They are 3-4 on the road in true road games. Wake, FSU and BC are those wins. Why would you count neutral floor games when the poster was referring to UF's conference road woes being similar to Duke's? I feel pretty confident we would beat most top 50 teams more often than not on neutral floors..

I can't stand Duke (although kinda like K), but I'm becoming less and less of a fan of court storming. Notice its still allowed? Thats only because nothing regrettable has happened. Once it does, it'll change. I mean, why be proactive? I'm fine with keeping it if the opposing team is allowed to leave the floor first.

Yeah, it seems super obvious that something is going to happen and it's only a matter of time. Wasn't there a story about a student in a wheelchair who stormed the court (from NC State, I think) and kind of got knocked over during the celebration? Nothing really came of that... guess they'll wait until someone get seriously injured.
My guess for what the first major incident is going to be is a fight between the visiting team and some unruly students. This is why I totally agree with your point of letting the visiting team leave first... that's if you even allow storming the court at all.

Everybody says nothing ever happens with these court storming's, somebody should ask Brandon Powell about that, he ended up punching a kid from Tennessee who got up in his face and was never heard from again. I'm so glad Jeremy Foley doesn't allow that in Gainesville

One of our student trainers was punched out after the football game in Starkville about 10-12 years ago when they rushed the field.
The following season, when Spurrier hung 52 on them in the Swamp, I think he gave the kid the game ball.

I'm suprised some idiot student has not tried to fight a player from the opposing team yet from one of these.

I hate to ever be in a position where I'm defending Duke. But unfortunately, Duke has a stronger profile than UF, and they are not in a situation where they have to win out to have a chance at a #1 seed. They could still drop another game or two and still get a #1 seed (especially if they get Kelly back).

As I recall, the student trainer wasn't just punched, he was sucker-punched and knocked unconscious. Very dangerous situation.
I still adore Steve Spurrier. He'd make a point of punishing a program if they did us wrong.

I also am a Spurrier advocate.
His ability to single handedly draw up plays that worked while playing QB never ceases to amaze me.

If anyone ever messed with us, he would always have the last word.
He brought the swagger and confidence to this program and it carried over to all of our sports and student body. This should never be forgotten.
