Is Prather ok and just needing some stitches or is he going to have to pass some concussion tests?

I hope it was just stitches. We really can't afford to lose another player.

looked a bit wobbly as he walked off, looks like a concussion

I didn't think it looked like a concussion. It was a nasty cut though.
Donovan stated that he mAy have a concussion. How many concussions is that for the year for us?
Wtf?
This would be Prather's third. Murphy and Frazier have each had one.
This team has more concussions than our football team did.

He got hit and was stunned for a second, then snapped back into action and went for the loose ball. So, if it is a concussion, it's not too serious. That being said however, I really, really, really, really hope that he is OK for Saturday because I really, really, really, really want to see our team at full strength against Bama.

Yeah, it didn't look like a concussion when it happened, but my concern is if he does have one then that is 3 in just the regular season for him. I can't imagine that would be very good.

Forgot about him having two earlier. That would be a cause for concern if it is a minor one. Hoping for the best!

It didn't really seem like a concussion. The way he realized the ball was still up for grabs makes me think he wasn't too stunned. I think the blood stunned him more.

3 concussions in less than 6 months if so - no dice

Billy D suggested it could be a concussion and since it was his third this year, you need to take it seriously.

Glad we played Tuesday night and have the extra time to heal and prepare particularly with Bama playing last night as well

"Man down, man up" for Donovan

He's to the point of using Muschamp's saying.

How did that happen, he had to be only 6'6" black guy wearing Gator colors in Knoxville. Hope we find him soon.

Prather should wear that practice helmet during games too.

So, I take it you're a neurologist? Because that's not my understanding of how concussions work - and I do have some knowledge on the subject.

Well the general idea is the more you have the higher your propensity for future ones and the more damage/risk future ones pose.

Someone with 5k followers tweeted that he heard it wasn't a concussion. Looked like a sports gambler.

This was the tweet: No word from UF but I'm hearing no concussion for Casey Prather last night, which is huge. A 3rd concussion could mean missing extended time

This is true.

The risk varies though, based on the sport one participates in. I would say that 3 concussions in football would possibly end a career of someone relatively young. I know my neighbor's son was pulled from football after his third concussion at the age of 15.

Billy said in the presser that he doesn't know about Prather or Yeguete/Frazier II. I think Billy has moved into the realm of playing games with injury information. I'll be surprised if all three don't practice Thursday and play Saturday.
