Once again, no defense when game is on the line, rely on the 3 down the stretch, and cannot rebound. This team just doesn't have the "it" factor.

I agree that this team forgets to play defense when they are fighting to score

This is hilarious.

SIX PLAYERS. Our best rebounder didn't play against the team that has Jarnell Stokes.

Jesus.

Yea, all of a sudden we should've lost to Tennessee. What a joke.

So we are only soft on the road? Pretty sure teams don't just decide to play soft in Gainesville against us.

The shifting sentiments on this board are fun to read. From game to game this team is either being compared to the '06-07 squad, or written off as "soft".
LOL!

No defense? Bullshit. Defense was the LEAST of our worries tonight. McRae couldn't get a shot off in the last few minutes thanks to the defense of Wilbekin and Boynton.

We lost because Boynton and Murphy couldn't hit the open jump shots that they had and Rosario made bad decision after bad decision late in the game.

Yeguette and Frazier are exactly what this team right now lacks, toughness and athleticism. If these past few games arent an indication to Donovan that Yeguette and Frazier should be stealing serious minutes from guys like Boynton then I dont know what to say.

Tenn was getting away with murder.

Yes -- with our deep rotation I see no reason why any of our guys would be tired at the end. They have virtually unlimited rest on the bench during the game and yet for some crazy reason they can't play hard at the end with a 6 man rotation.

Crazy and totally inexplicable...

The team is soft and lacks the one player that refuses to lose. Look at their faces when there is adversity. Do you see one player grouping the team together and rallying them to focus? No. And I know these losses happen, I just need to see the hatred to lose from someone.

and where has Murphy and Boynton been? at least Young played decent rather than being completely absent on the court. Boynton had what, 1 FG tonight? unacceptable for our senior and "team leader"

And where was the defense on McRae for 95% of the game? Its not exactly Wilbekins fault, as its a size mismatch at 6'5 vs. 6'1 and our only good size wing available was Prather who was playing out of position. I think what is quite evident in these games is our lack of depth of wing players who can take the ball to the basket, we live and die by the three.

I don't agree with this. We have a pretty good mix of pure "finesse" players (Murphy, Rosario) and athletic/tough players (Prather, Yeguette, Wilbekin) - and a few guys that are a little bit of both. We are struggling right now because of some guys "slumping" with the outside shot, we are missing our "glue" guy in Yeguette, and tonight we were even missing the only guy that has NOT been slumping shooting the 3 lately (Frazier II).

I think Young needs to find a way. He did have a nice 1st half scoring, but disappeared largely in the 2nd half and I didn't get the sense that he was holding his own rebounding. But when matched with Stokes at least he stopped him from hurting us on offense (not that Stokes is a huge scoring threat, but without Young that might have been an even bigger domination point for UT).

I think whenever Yeguette gets back, that will help the makup of our team tremendously. Hopefully Prather didn't get another concussion, that cut looked like it was pouring blood pretty bad so he must have received a pretty nice gash.
