Who is up for some lunch???

The past few years we have had occasion to get together for a Too Hot Lunch in the Tampa Bay Area. I will be visiting the area on Friday March 22nd and was wondering who might be interested in getting together at Cheddars on East Bay Dr and US 19 (where the Largo Mall used to be) at around 11:30am.

'Nana, Texi, MB, RayGator and myself got together a couple of years ago and had a great time. Hopefully, we can get together again and have more of the Too Hot crew join us if possible.

So who is up for some lunch and fun??? Both sides of the aisle are welcomed and encouraged to join us.

I will put it on my calendar and will try and make it. Just may have a family conflict. My older brother's birthday is on the 21st and mine is a few days later on the 27th.

I was there a couple of years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. The very lovely 'Nana was the only lady who attended the luncheon. Maybe she won't be the only lady this time. :)

That would be OK with me. Gas has been on rise again and 6 blocks would be cheaper for me than 60 miles. :)

I'll actually be in Jacksonville at the time but unfortunately have an 8:00 a.m. appointment so it won't work. Oh well you guys have fun. But I do live in Austin for the next month or two. So anytime you'd like we can get something. :)

I could be in lakeland faster than damn US 19. Moved down to Bradenton in 1979. They were working on it then and still are. Road from Hell.

Only one Firehouse Subs in Lakeland as far as I know. The location is in the Merchants Walk Shopping Center which is located on the south side of Lakeland. Merchants Walk is right on the north side of the exit/interchange of the Polk Parkway (SR 570) and South Florida Avenue (SR 37).

Firehouse Subs is located just about in the center of Merchants Walk. Like most shopping strips Merchants Walk is sort of a big L shape of stores etc. And Firehouse Subs is very near the center of the L where it turns from row of stores to another row of stores.

There's a Gold's Gym in front of the Merchants Walk complex on South Florida Avenue.

get in left lane upon the turn and as soon as you go under Polk Parkway turn left once again-take 2nd entrance into shopping center-we are in corner between Stein Mart and Rack Room Shoes- we have 2 red umbrellas out front

Now, that doesn't mean all of us can't hang. Give us a chance! Siesta Key Beach sounds like a great place. Sounds like a place where all you Top 1%ers hang! :)

Hard to get on Siesta Key right now with the crowds that are going there. Clark road was backed up past 41 yesterday trying to get on the island. Unless it is a crappy day, both bridges are backed up pretty bad. Travel Mag just named Siesta one of the best spring break spots for families and its packed and has been since Doc Beach named it number one last year.


Sounds like fun in Lakeland, wish I could attend.

Yeah. God does have a sense of humor. I am traveling to Florida tomorrow to visit family and friends and the Gators are going to be in Austin playing in the NCAA tourney while I am away. Too funny.
