Saban just got himself an ace-recruiter in Dade county while Miami loses one of their own to the SEC.

Look at the Alabama staff from a a few years ago and look at it now. People need to stop saying Bama doesn't lose assistance.
South Florida is loaded in 2014 and 2015 everybody is trying to get kid from down there

Doesn't matter. A year from now Cristobal will be a head coach somewhere anyway. The guy was totally shafted at FIU.

Didn't Cristobal just go back to UM? Like within the last month or two? Saban is just unreal....and you can spin that in a positive way or a negative way....

Yep... about a month ago I believe. Since my hatred of scUM far outweighs that of Bama, I find this hilarious.

How many times did FIU get called for holding?

Losing Cristobal definitely hurts Miami for that Sept 7th game which is what I care about in the short term.
Has Cristobal coached OL before?

Saban already has a pipeline to South Florida (e.g. Cooper), this is a bad thing for the rest of the SEC and especially UF.

go to alabama or miami???? tough choice--at miami, probation, minor bowls, no bonus. At alabama, play for the crystal almost every year, huge bowl and title bonuses, first class conference, program, facilities, .... No brainer.

They lose the bigger ones with far less frequency than we do, which is I think why that message persists.

True. He won't be in Tuscaloosa long. After next season's coaching shakeup, he should be a top contender. On the other hand, if he does have to wait it out a few seasons, better to coach at UA and play for titles than coach at UM and wait for the ax to fall.

They lost their OC a year ago.

Any team that produces championships will have their assistants get plucked. It's the name of the game, Florida produced 2 championships in 3 years, so Florida got raped by other teams. Alabama has won 3 of last 4 so they have gotten taken advantage of too, but somehow Kirby Smart is still around, which to me is very smart for him..

Probation is coming down. It's going to be quite bad. They lied to him!

No its not. This is Cristobal distancing himself from the infractions that went on in MIami. It's going to be bad!

cristobal is going to alabama because of sanctions at miami and not because the alabama job is 1,000 times better? :whoa:
