View Full Version : What is the format of SEC tournament?

Do only the top 12 participate with the top 4 receiving byes as it has been before expanding to 14 teams or something different.

If all 14 participate and you want a 4 day tournament, then you are looking at just 2 first round byes and the other 12 playing Thursday, but that means a triple header!

just answered my own question. the tournament will start wednesday

Yeah oddly if UF is the top seed they will necessarily play a team that has only played one prior game. The same is true of the 2 seed. The 3 and 4 seeds can get teams that have played twice.

gators would face the winner of UGA vs UTenn?

One big win does not mean much. Remember: they lost at home to UGA less than 2 weeks ago. :yes:

Tennessee is like Arkansas. They got hot one night and Kentucky, I think with their young guys, still had not reformed their team to play without Noel.
