I always kinda laugh at the irony of Eisenhower's "warning"--since he was the one President who did more than anyone else to bring it about.

It'd be like Obama's final speech to the nation including a warning about "reckless fiscal spending" and "the rise of politically-connected Washington elites." It'd be laughable hypocrisy now...but 50 years in the future, people might feel Obama was genuinely concerned about deficit spending.

Depends on the situation. I traveled through South India w/ my in-laws, and when people asked where they were from, it was..."Uh...North India"
