Florida is currently three scholarships under the NCAA limit of 85 (excluding walk-ons) and has 11 seniors on the roster this fall, giving the Gators 14 open spots for 2014 at this time. But as we saw this past season, attrition will inevitably take place between now and next February.

In April of 2012, Muschamp was telling recruits he expected to have 22 signees in the 2013 class. He ended up signing 30 and had room for three more.

With that in mind, here’s an early look at the recruiting needs and targets for this year.

Thanks Ahab.

Really, there are not a lot of areas of need this coming year, assuming that the 2013 recruits meet expectations reasonably well.

Also interesting that they didn't consider Young as a TE, which one might well be able to understand.

FB, TE, a quick/rush DE and CB are the ones thought to have the greatest need, at least assuming Greer stays in the fold. That appears reasonable.

Adding Townsend and Young were interesting.

Personally, I don't think RB is as deep as he does, because I don't see Mack Brown getting much play unless he really turns the corner this year.

Interesting.

Cox and Dorsey both jumped on their offers oon the spot. UF was the best offer for both. I love that. Must have really showed out this weekend to get the ship. Those are the kind of kids who stay loyal and help recruit.

I thought Brown looked as good as Gillislee last year. Great cut and acceleration

Me too, he's gonna surprise some people this year. He's fricken stout and faster than any back we got. If he can stay healthy then he will see the field. He runs with authority.

No way Brown wins the job over Jones. Just isn't happening. He'll get some carries, but MJ is going to absolutely dominate.

Agreed. TD run against FSU was a sneak preview of next season.
