I live in Lexington. Here are the 3 articles in the Lexington paper. They were pretty complimentary of the Gators and Billy D. So were my co-workers at work. (Now that is a miracle LOL!)

Here is an interesting one about Kentucky's remaining schedule. It's going to be hit or miss whether they make the dance, and Saturday's game against UT will be huge.

I think UK can only lose 2 of those final 7 games if they want to be in the tournament without having to depend on the SEC tourney. I don't think UK can do that without Noel. I've wondered all season if we'd be 500 without him. Now we get to see unfortunately.

Time to see what Poythress is made of. UK goes as far as he takes them.

Yes, losing Noel is much like the Gators losing Yeguete, although, of course, worse, due to an underlying lack of quality depth (which the Gators also have up front).

I really think that although he may be a rule-breaker from the getgo, that Cali is a very good coach, which I think he demonstrated quite convincingly everywhere he coached historically.

UT, despite their experience, has been highly inconsistent, as has almost every team in the nation this year, except perhaps Miami, once they got it together. Of course, they really had trouble with FSU in Tallahassee.

Away games are very difficult for young teams, the home court advantage seems to provide more advantage against younger teams than older teams, although, of course, even extremely experienced teams like this year's Gators, also tend to fall to the Home Court Advantage. As I have paid attention to sports, humans and animals over the past 50-60 years, I am coming to accept Rupert Sheldrake's field construct. A team is, of course, a field phenomenon, which builds strength as members spend more time together, thus, the difficulties of younger teams who have not had time to build strong bonds with their teammates. Some people, like last year's Ky team, appear to have the ability to quickly build strong bonds. Partly this results from sensitivity, the same sort of stuff that people like Fran Tarkenten, Roger Staubach and Charlie Ward exhibited when they knew that a DE/DT was charging at them from the back and they always dodged in the correct direction.

Never underestimate the strength of sensitive (some call it intuition). There is absolutely nothing paranormal about it, because it results quite naturally from the prey/predator relationship. Creatures that are aware they are being stalked and bolt, are more likely to survive to pass on genes than those who aren't. All Security Agencies, high end Martial Artists and Snipers are aware of this phenomenon, and those trained to kill by hand are taught to never stare at their victims back as they sneak up on them.

The Gators were frequently staring at the backs of the Arky guys last week. I noticed that, too.

LMAO if that's the case we are in deep damn trouble!! He has more flaws than the NCAA.

I'll wait and see at least a couple of games before I write UK off for the NCAA. There is enough talent, even without Noel, to make the NCAA tourney.

I don't see them sustaining a high level of play in a tournament situation so they won't go far, however I don't think its unreasonable to think that they can go 5-2 over the remainder of the regular season. They could win a game or two in the SEC tourney too and that won't hurt.

I'll say this much. For those who want to see what Calipari is like when facing adversity, this is their chance. He may suprise some. It's also possible that the team may be able to play a bit looser, with everyone writing them off. Up until now, they've played tight and are not having much fun.
