With our win over Miss, we have effectively have a four game lead over them in standings.

I'm interested in how Missouri will fare in their trip to Arkansas on Saturday.

looks likew ole miss was a paper tiger, when the play the big boys, they fold. hate to say this , but the sec might be only a 3 bid league in the ncaas unless someone goes on a serious role, or upset tourney winner, what a sad state of affairs with 14 teams.

Just my opinion, but if Florida wins their next two games I believe the SEC race would be all but over.

i think that missouri is licking their chops to get us at home, remember, their leading scorer missed the game here, and they were really embaressed, need a win to build their resume.

Hopefully the players stay focused and don't get full of themselves.

Who are the other 2? I guess mizzou but I wasn't very impressed with them and I think uk may fold after the Noel injury

I think Missouri has a lot of potential and may end up being a pretty impressive rep for the SEC this season.
I think UK would have been a tough Tourney out also without Noel's injury.
But, I'm not sold on any other SEC teams yet.

How about the Gators, with Yeguete?
And yes, unless between 5 and 7 starters get hurt, a win at Missou pretty much clinches the SEC championship.
Alabama has a cream puff schedule from here out, but I really don't think the Gators and the Tide are in the same league in Basketball (perhaps in football or Gymnastics, but not yet in BB).

I said after we killed them that at Missouri and UK would be our toughest remaining games. I was dismissed at the time thinking we would role every team.....then Arkansas game happened. Looks like they are rolling again. I have thought all along they were the 2nd best team in the SEC.
I think the game at Missouri will really test where we are at. Of course we better be ready to play every game because teams will be gunning for us. Go Gators!

missouri is rounding into last year's form. they will be tough to beat in columbia.
UK will adjust to not having noel - they still have some quality players. wiltjer and WCS will have to step up and take on bigger roles.
Bama is playing better - they may take ole miss's spot in the dance.

Sorry I wasn't clear (it was clear in my own mind :joecool:), but I was meaning to discuss other SEC teams.
I am very high on the Gators and have said in other threads that I would vote them No. 1 in the nation (and I've never said that before except during our 2nd national championship run).

That game at Mizzou is going to be toughhhhhhhh.
Hope Wilbekin is just as effective against Pressey.

An Andy Kennedy coached team will always fall back to mediocre.

Was thinking the same thing. They seem to have a history of getting off to fast starts then fading, tough on the fans.
As or Mizzou, Pressey will have to live up to his preseason press clippings for them to win that game against UF. Maybe I missed his good games, but the 3 or 4 I have seen all or part of, he seems to have way too many turnovers and very poor shot selection. Not the marks of a league MVP.

Also, it seems like since Anthony Grant has been at Bama, they have replaced Va Tech as the team on selection sunday as will they or won't they get into the dance. Just my opinion, but it seems like if they can win 4 more games to go 12-6 in SEC play, they should get in.
