?

Edit : I meant to have a poll with this thread. Sigh...

1. "yes, the future is bright, great class"

2. "Great class, could have been more exciting" (no last minute surprises)

Couldn't ask for much better. A surprise would have been nice but we can't complain. We filled needs across the board and created competition as well.

How could one disapprove of this class?

Totally agree! I won't even open the thread "Nice class but still disappointed". Really?

Anyone who says they are disappointed because of no bigs surprises at the end is missing the point of recruiting entirely and can't see the forest from the trees.

i supposed for the recruitneks, etc or those - like me, now, that may only tune into recruiting in the last month to see what's going on - muschamp and the coaches should have a few of their star recruits that they land delay their announcement for NSD - especially now that espnu puts in a full day of coverage. get the pub and hoopla of making a big NSD splash. think muschamp may choreograph it like that [bowden loved to do that it seemed even w/out espnu] in the near future?

me: seriously, i'm fine w/out the drama. i'd rather get all the horses in the barn as early as possible!

stupid poll. Unless you sign 30 5* players, it could always get better.

It's hard to say. If the Gators filled their needs and the coaches are happy then I see no reason why we would be unhappy. But as its been said ad nauseum, we won't know for a couple of years. To me each class is relative. A number one receiver this year may have been a number four or five last year or next year. Also, we have to wait to see what the coach does with with these athletes and what these athletes do with their opportunities. So in short the only thing we can do realistically is shrug our shoulders, and say "ask me in a couple of years.

I 100% approve of this class, even if we hadn't picked up one more recruit this class was outstanding. Coach Muschamp and the staff knocked it out of the park.

Great class!! WM may not have landed any surprises yesterday but he sure did on the EE's. If I had a choice, I would rather close better on EE's than NSD anyhow. Let WM have a year like last year, and it will on continue. WM recruited better than or just as good as any other coach out there even though they have been at their programs much longer than he has. We cannot forget that WM has only 2 years of HC experience but who could tell after what he did in 2012 and this class?

I approve of this class like any sane individual, but it can always be better. That's the nature of college football. Even Alabama could say the same thing. You sometimes miss on guys. Sometimes it's you. Sometimes it's them. That being said, Tunsil or McQuay or Alexander or Bosa or Stevens would have all been welcome additions to this class and they all chose to go out of state. All of which were guys we offered but couldn't get an official visit out of. Is that the fault of our staff? Who knows? The point is, it can always be better. We can celebrate the great class we have coming in while still recognizing that. I'm sure Muschamp does.

Which brings me into what I think a big positive of this recruiting class is that is being overlooked.

Muschamp is going to get better at this, and he's already pretty damn good. He learned at Texas how to pick the guys you need from in the state first, so it's easier to go out of state for guys you want. He's still developing Florida ties. He's only been here 2 years after all. He is still developing relationships. I think it's going to get better next year, and you can see that we've already started off strong with one of the best QB recruits coming here.

Also, we took a bunch of guys out of Georgia this year, so they can suck it.

Of course there is always room for improvement, but you have to think realistically, there is a number of top notch programs were battling with and at the end of the day you cant win them all. Its remarkable how well our staff did this year getting the number of quality guys we got especially considering the programs we are competing with.

I agree. It's important to think realistically when it comes to recruiting. That being said, I think we can realistically expect Muschamp's recruiting of Florida to become easier/better when he has more than just two full recruiting cycles under his belt. Pease's too probably.

Great class! Still think we needed 1 more DE and a FB for the future, and 1 more corner. However we ad those things just didnt go our way. I know we WM will take care of those things this year.
