the university's broke so a big part of phil's incentive compensation will be in the form of gift certificates contributed by the local eateries and donut shops.

This is more than just a rumor. If ETSU does start a football program again (they will) Fulmer (who has lost weight and is now well under 200 lbs) will coach the team for 3-5 years and help them get off the ground.

Always thought Fulmer was a class act and a good coach. If that's the deal, good for the coach and good for the school.

As an ETSU grad, I'm unsure what to make of this, but living in JC I've heard about it for a while. Are we going to play in the House that Spurrier Built - Science Hill's million dollar stadium? If UT ever gets a half decent football program again, ETSU will be swimming in red ink (football lost $1 million in its last year).

Thedyc09. I too live in JC. Would enjoy seeing coach Fulmer playing on Steve Spurrier field!

Wish he and ETSU success. Fulmer has earned the respect of a large number of TN HS coaches and will do a good job for the University. He knows TN football and is still respected by a lot of UT fans. Johnson City is a really neat mountain town and I believe the University has an enclosed football field.

First thing he should do is get UT on the schedule, then beat them, then give the 1 finger salute as he leaves the field ;)

Always thought UT would be smart to get him back. Once he left the shhhhhizzit hit the fan.
