I wouldnt really call this a spoiler. I think a spoiler would be providing details of the plot that are different from the actual book

Well no if you read the book nothing in the article would be a spoiler.
Leaf, do you mean disappointment because of the inevitable changes from book to movie?

Yes I loved the books. Well loved the first liked the second and was lukewarm on the conclusion. But I always joke that if you read the book first you ruin the movie. Though I did like the first hunger games movie so it broke the mold for me a little.

I like the first movie a lot, I got over the changes made pretty fast and felt they did a great job showing the arena and getting over a 1st person perspective.
My wife hated how they changed the origin of the Mocking Jay pin and fumed for a good 10 minutes lol.
The second book did start a bit slow but I am really looking forward to the arena in the movie. The third book had probably too much in it and the pacing felt off but I was fine with the ending mostly.
Bah, I really just want to see more Jennifer Lawrence!

Haha the pin pissed me off too but it allowed them to remove 2 characters who weren't essential. I am hopeful the next one will be good.

The kid they got to play her love interest is a damn troglodyte.
Will the new movie have the character who gets naked all the time?

I'm probably in the minority on this one but while I loved the first and second books I absolutely hated the third. So much that I may not even go see the third movie.
To me, the entire third book seemed like an exercise in trying to shock the reader with death as many times as they could without providing any other twists. Lazy writing. The conclusion of the love triangle was pretty poorly written as well.

I didnt like the third book very much either. I read somewhere that the authors point was to make some statement about how war effects children. I personally thought it was over the top and while I didnt absolutely hate it, I really did not care for it.

I felt the author got out of her depth in the 3rd book. It had way too much happening to be that short. I am actually happy they are splitting it into two movies, it should help the pacing a lot.
She went all Rowling on her characters too, and Katniss waking up injured in the hospital a dozen times was a little silly.
Overall I was fine with the ending.
