I own a condo but have a rather simple Tax return to file. In your views what is best free filing system?

I tried Turbo Tax but the form said I have to wait till January 30.

H and R Block's turned me away since in I over 52. Did I do something wrong?

Your views please and thanks a million in advance.

tax act is good too. have used several times and paid for deluxe version but still cheaper than turbo tax and i liked it better. I itemize and have some messy investment activity and was happy with it. on line and no charge for the basic version. not sure if they charge for online filing or not.

Been using Turbo Tax for years. Very happy with them.

Turbo Tax is the best. The reason why you haven't been able to file until 1/30 is because the IRS delayed early filing this year until that date. Not Intuit's fault!

Turbo tax for me. I especially like how they have side by side comparisons from the previous year which helps me make sure I don't forget anything.

Tubotax online for me too. Been using every year since 2001. Every year my taxes get more complicated but with some serious dedication to online research and the premier version online I usually make it out without too many scratches. I have survived two IRS inquiries as well (not full audits).

I used Turbo Tax once and it only gave me like 1500 back. Then I went to HR Block and found out I made a mistake and got 6k+

Tax slayer. Pretty straight forward, full itemization for $9.99.

If you have a simple return, the best is to do it yourself.
