GatorJason, I love your breakdown of MVG for each game. Do you keep it for the year as well or just game by game.

Not often you see 4 guys over 70. Great all-around game for the Gators

Jacob Kurtz had 3 rebounds and an assist for 17 value credits in just 3 minutes of play. He doesn't play much but seems to always make positive things happen in the short time that he does play.

Bobby,

I do not do season stats but you can look at the season album of team values scores here. Link (http://www.gatorcountry.com/swampgas/album.php?albumid=221) Season stats may not be a good measure of where the team is today. Roles have changed and solidified since the season started. When Scottie Wilbekin took over primary responsibilities at point guard, the team seemed to have settled into their roles and performances for all have improved. Boynton, Murphy, and Young have the most top performances with Wilbekin starting to emerge as a new leader. Rosario's value scores vary wildly, depending on how well he is shooting. Yeguete, Prather and Frazier have been our big players off the bench whose minutes vary depending on the teams the Gators play. Yeguete is probably the one with the most production, using his size and quickness down low in the paint.

I hope this shows up, but just for fun I did a season long comparison and what it really shows is how this team really does not have a superstar.

Player Value Score Minutes Played
Kenny Boynton 55.2 31.5
Erik Murphy 59.3 25.1
Mike Rosario 42.8 29.4
Patric Young 59.7 26.8
Scottie Wilbekin 54.1 31.3
Casey Prather 37.6 15.5
Will Yeguete 46.3 23.4
Michael Frazier 28.7 17.8
Braxton Ogbueze 4.8 5.5
DeVon Walker 3.7 4.7
Jacob Kurtz 4.2 2.3
Dillon Graham 2.3 4.4
Team Total 381.0 200.0

^^^^^^
You could say that was both a positive and a bit of a negative. What I like about it is just shutting one player down doesn't impact the team as a whole as much as it would if you had more of a superstar. Florida, to me, is the very definition of a "team."

I hadn't thought about Mr. V in a while. Thanks for reminding us. Wish we could get Verdicus in the NBN forum title in some way

oh geez. i missed that post - was just in the insiders forums exclusively back then. i really did enjoy his posts, i think back in the day on scout and in GC's full court press. he was a big advocate of gator hoops and baseball.
