One of my most favorite beverages. I rotate through the seasons with martinis in winter and vodka and tonic with lime in the summer. My favorite brand is Tito's vodka. Suprisingly it is made in Texas. There certainly are quite a few good vodkas out there. What is your favorite Anstro?

Before Tito's came along I would only drink Grey Goose. Now Tito's all the way! From martinis or just over ice with a lime wedge and a splash of water. Tito's is the best!

Love the Goose myself with tonic & lime. Have never heard of Tito's. Tons of premium brands out there, too many to mention. If nothing else when you are out, Absolut is tolerable, but Goose is so much better IMO and most places have it since it is in style now.
Just and aside, but if you like Vodka that well, you might try Gin for a change up. If so, Bombay Sapphire is outstanding.
Most don't know it but Gin & Vodka are actually like 99% identical in makeup...only difference is gin uses juniper berries.

Yes please. On the rocks. No lime or mixers. Will pop in an occasional olive.
I prefer Stoli, followed by Absolute.

Switched from vodka to gin two years ago. Tanqueray and Bombay Saphire martinis. Drink vodka in bloody mary's only. Would not go back to vodka for a martini.

Try the Tito's! I was a Goose man all the way until I tried Tito's. Tito's actually has a 94 rating which is higher than Goose and is half the price!

By a mile, the SMOOTHEST I have ever put a lip to is a 2007 Beverage Testing Institute rated 95, smooth as silk.
Stoli was a 92, Pinnacle 91, and Svedka 88.

Vodka is good, but I hate flavors. Everything I drink is beer or just straight...okay that sounds really bad haha.
I used to be big on Gin and soda water, then over did it during the 2007 UF-UK game. Switched to Absolut vodka and soda, now just drink whiskey, lost my taste for clear liquor.

Have to agree with SPG on this one, have always liked the Goose, Belvedere, Kettle One, but Tito's is better, made in the USA and priced right!

Oh god Skol! The alcohol distributors would give that rot gut to us for free when we had a restaurant.
Yes...I would drink it rather than our top shelf stuff to save money...

As I mentioned, I like Tito's. But I do remember feeling on top of the world many many years ago when I would go out on a Saturday night wearing an old pair of blue jeans with a half pint of Skol in one pocket and a $10 bill in the other pocket. You just knew it was going to be a great night. I would give up the fancy martinis etc. to go back to those days.

That's so funny that you mention Skol. We have been hitting that recently because it is so damned cheap. I was worried about a hangover the first time I had it, but alas I felt just fine in the am. So for a mere $12.85 (that's after tax) I can enjoy a 1.75 for the same price as a 12pk of beer that would normally just get me a begining buzz and ready to start real drinking. Plus, I have found since I have gotten older that I can't drink beer and eat. I can maybe munch some on chips and salsa but if I eat anything, anything of substance I am done drinking beer. I just feel so bloated and just can't even do it. I love my beer, but booze is it for me.

At vodka, yes. When I was younger I was strictly a blended canadian whiskey drinker. Seagrams 7 when I was broke, and Crown Royal when I wasn't. I later became a fan of Gin and drank strictly Tanqueray for years, and swore there could be nothing better. then I had an English gentleman who worked with my company introduce me to Bombay Sapphire. If I drink Gin, it is that or nothing. Only recently did I try a top shelf Vodka with tonic simply because I could not get the Bombay in local bars. I started with Absolut since I have used that for mixed drinks, but then had the odd chance to try Goose, and loved it. Next time I am looking to restock, I will look for Tito's and give it a whirl.

Has anyone ever tested which vodkas have the most purity?
I tried googling it a while back, but couldn't find much info. I'm not as concerned about the flavor of the vodka since I almost always mix it with orange juice and cranberry juice.
I've tried the stuff called 7X because it says it's distilled 7 times and it's cheap. Lately (since Washington State closed their state-run liquor stores), I've been getting some of the Costco Kirkland brand that says it's distilled 6 times. I'm pretty immune to hangovers anyway, but those vodkas have treated me fine. And, I'm hoping the purer it is, the less impact it will have on my liver :joecool:
Also, I will mix it up by buying some other vodkas like Tito's and Crater Lake, which is made out here in the Northwest.

That's because everyone in Poland is broke, not because it taste good. Natty ice is the #1 beer purchased by college kids. Doesn't mean it's the best!
Jk! I'll give Sobi a whirl if I see it.
