I've watched Idol for the last few years but after about 10 minutes of who I have deemed "that clown chick", I decided I could make much better use of my time. Besides, after watching our hometown boy Phillip win last year, it all seemed a little anti-climatic.

Mariah is easily the worst judge they've had on the show. She is that bad. Boring. Caddy. Condescending. Narcissistic.

I've watched most seasons and if I stop watching the show now it will be because of her.

This show has gotten more stale then three day old bread. Last year, everyone was "da bomb" or "had a special talent," but when everyone is special that means no one is special.

Once they lost Simon, it was just a matter of time before this show ran its course. Ryan Seacrest is the only real talent left on the show who does his job in a credible manner, but he's not a judge. Everyone else is simply filling space and offering nothing of substance.

I don't see this making it past this season, especially if they give us talented but forgettable singers like they did last season.

I agree the judges just aren't good this year. Seacrest and Jimmy are the only two people worth watching. For whatever reason they had a very hard time getting people they wanted as judges. They wanted Randy gone, and Clown Hair and Keith were fallbacks (technically Randy too since they had to use him due to difficulty filling judging spots). The only judge they really wanted is a sad pathetic shell of her former self. Nigel will have his work cutout for him after this season is over.

Thankfully, my wife no longer watches this show.
Had not heard of Nicki until all the Idol hype came around. If nothing else, the pub is good for her career. As for Mariah, she was nice 10-15 yrs ago, not so much these days.

She's a performer. That's what the show is all about. Who little genie opens will vote for. Same reason my daughter listens to 1 direction. Poor kid. I feel as though I've failed her. How can the same girl sing War Pigs at the top of her lungs with every bit of ferocity as Ozzy but also ask me to buy her 1D tickets for the Miami show. The things I will do to hear the phrase "best daddy ever".

Wife and I turned it off this year. Could not take the diva fights. Show is no longer entertaining. Last year, Steven Tyler was a hoot. No one's funny or interesting this year.
