Interesting. Will the air technology be found in other vehicles? From other manufacturers?

Sounds like much of it is still in the research phase, which means take all claims with a grain of salt. Comparing it to the Prius is a bit silly, since the Prius is demonstrated technology. It could easily wind up being 50% more expensive than a Prius, and have higher operating costs as well.
This technology will have to be proven before other manufacturers jump on the bandwagon. Even with battery hybrids, which were proven over 80 years ago, it took a successful run with the Insight and the Prius for many years before other manufacturers jumped in.

Zero to 60 in an Obama press conference answer. Just guessing anyway.

Air powered cars are already being done albeit on a different level. No combustion engine involved and the cars, by necessity, are very small. It is definitely a project and may have limited application. But it is a good example of thinking outside the box.
