Wow, a td...we actually looked like a college offense on that drive. Driskel got sometime on that drive, used Hines, Burton and Reed and Driskels running and went right down the field. Humphries is at least holding his own at LT today and Green besides the one holding call seems to be ok. Davis isnt working with much on that OL though, we look very limited their.

When JD has time to throw he's accurate. For the one or two that keeps harpring on JD just be honest you want Brisset. UF should have had a TD earlier when the wr dropped a perfect TD pass that could have gone all the way. When you have a piss poor OL that has difficulty blocking, and you have wr's learning how to run routes and understand coverage you're not going to have great results. But to pick on JD as one or two of you have is crazy. I'd rather you just come out and say you prefer Brisset.

Normally, yes. That is a very good point. But when teams look at our game film, they see how run oriented we are and their game plan becomes, do whatever it takes to stop the run. And in the first half they did when it came to Gilly. So now we have to try and make our weakness, passing game, start to work and we aren't doing very well because we don't do it often enough. If we were more balanced this game wouldn't even be close. I don't blame the OL for this. Now they may be not used to having to pass block so much and they need more time to gel in that respect. But then again, the QB has a responsibility to make throws with the time he does have and Driskel rarely does it, but he has done it before, and just did it now.

Naw I've been a backer of Jeff Driskel since we recruited him out of Hagerty. There have been times when he has underperformed with decent coverage or made a bad decision, I'm not saying it's all the time but its there. It's one of the reasons JB and JD had to battle for the starting QB job in the first place, remember JD was the #1 overall rated QB coming out of high school. Kids still young though, his real rookie season was this year.

We stand corrected. The play calling is excellent. The OL is dominating. The receivers are the best in the business. Great job of playing a penalty free half. Our quarterback will likely win the Heisman. The Gators are dominating both lines. And we're killing ULL by 7, which is great considering they are 114th in the nation against the pass...well, probably moving up after today. Rah Rah!

Oh, and I forgot, there is no way calling different plays could possibly change anything.

Not sure if it's all on the players, seems like our o line coaching is weak too. Injuries may also be a factor.

But Driskel is also not a fast reader of defenses, he needs to work on the vision in the off season. He hasn't been able to do it during the games as he is always(almost) running for his life.

I want a great receivers coach and some o line depth/coaching for Christmas!

Everyone shares some blame.

Jeff is making slow reads, he's a first time QB. But with good protection that would be ok.

We don't have great WRs, but with more protection they can get an opening.

Other than that, our backs haven't been able to break anything and our QB gets about 2 seconds before the pressure hits. Everything on offense goes through the o-line first and ours is inadequate. You will never have a good, functioning offense without a good o-line.
