If you look at it objectivelly, we are doing pretty well except on 3rd down. Can't seem to stop them no matter how many yards. Every time there is a hold, PI, something AND sometimes they also complete a pass and earn it the normal way. Fix that and they are a fairly pedestrian offense. Better than ours right now, but not by much.

UT actually seemed to be set wide to stop the boot and shifted pre-snap. Was probably a missed read by Driskel honestly.

Very few plays are simply "run up the middle" without some sort of check or option. It isn't 1920 - plays aren't that one dimensional unless its just a jumbo package dive or something, and that wasn't our personnel group.

UT is using a counter to their RB to keep our D honest and to give Bray some time to throw. We need to play it sort of like we did with A&M in the second half last week.

Problem is, whenever we defend and stick the WR's, the refs hit us with a PI flag.

This will probably be about taking another couple of PI flags in the second half but IMO, we cannot stop sticking their WR's. We have to keep doing it until the refs get tired of calling it and let 'em play IMO.

Keep sticking them and it'll throw them off theor timing routes and the bray picks will come.

I see big time improvements from last year, and we are still moving in the right direction for next year and the near future.

*IF* we get Tyler Moore, and considering we already have Max Garcia. There should be no excuses for the OL next year. At least in pass protection we will have proven players and youth.

We probably won't have the line to push people around at the LOS. Would be nice to land an Andre Smith type OG to just bulldoze people LOL. That's what you need if you want to consistently run it into the pile on 3rd and G from the 1.
