I agree with this. Anyone player who has played football in any capacity knows as a QB you toss the ball out of bounds instead of running out of bounds. This is true in video games too. The Bowling Green QB probably has a PhD in throwing the ball out of bounds. Driskel should have taken notes

It's not all about buying in. I'm talking about self pride in being an athlete. It's the heart competition. You can not believe a thing the coach says but you still don't want to he owner by a competitor.

And what evidence do you That players are. It buying in. All I see is weaker players. Players that don't follow basic "rules" of defense. I learned to stay at home as an DE when I was 7 years old.

I think there are some personnel changes the coaches could make but I'm not a D1 coach. I only coach HS football and I rely on amazing players to make me look good.

I think all of the wailing on this thread is insane. The team is the underdog, on the road in College Station for the first time ever, against a team and QB they have no tape on, and against a coach who has been producing top flight offenses for a while. And we're only down 7.

Has the defense been terrible? ABSOLUTELY!!!!! Awful. They obviously did not expect to see a running QB, and they might as well be playing with their pants around their ankles. They are sucking like Jenna Jameson at a 1990's Vivid pool party. But this is Muschamp's forte (or it used to be). Honestly, all our guys need to do is control the gaps so we don't keep getting gashed by runs, contain the QB, and make him beat us with his arm. Things I didn't care for in the first half:

* Driskel not throwing the ball away deep behind the LOS when in obvious trouble.
* The revolving door that we affectionately have termed "the offensive line".
* A total lack of playmaking from our defense, across the board.
* Our DBs looking for a cuddle from A&M wide receivers every time the play progresses (Seriously, have we beaten them physically even once when they block?!)
* Muschamp's analysis that "We're in good shape." That's not a good analysis.

This team looks like it could implode at any second. We are fortunate not to be much further behind, if not already out of this game.

What a tease after that superb first drive.

Oh and Easley, Floyd, Elam & Co? I hope they put their NFL paperwork in the back of their lockers. They are nowhere near the hype right now. Not even in the same area code...

Driskel just needs to get the ball out a little quicker or decide to run with it earlier. Some planned QB runs would help A LOT.
