I will be making the trip from ATL leaving work around 3:30. Any suggestions on good local places to eat? Where to park on campus? Hopefully we have a good showing of fans there and can get some cheers going for the good guys! I know the ATL Gator Club bought a block of 100 seats. I also heard tickets are available today only for $8 (some even lower level at that price. I should have waited!) through the Georgia athletics site. Go Gators!

I'll be there with my kids!!!
Lower level, row 6, $18 on stubhub.
Probably cheaper out front tomorrow, but too scared to make the trek without tickets in hand.
Can't wait.
I live in Athens and will be there. What kind of food are you looking for?

Due to adverse northeast weather, an expected Lackluster game and other commitments I passed on my ride on the jet down. Enjoy without me although obviously won't have the same cache as when I'm in the building.

I always feel badly when I hear about people having to take such menial modes of transportation, when I can simply access my top-secret, gov. provided technology to teleport myself directly to the waiting first row seat.

Preferably something that is close to the arena (walking distance, is that possible?). Someone recommended Cali and Titos, said it's a BYOB place cash only.

Sucks I have to be in Atlanta for some work training. Was planning to be there. Ahab, you live in Athens, also? Good to know I'm not alone there! Go Gators!

My husband's in Atl this week, as well. Semi-annual or Quarterly meetings at the home office, but he won't be able to get away to Athens, either. Cheer for us!
You can walk from downtown which has lots of bars and great places to eat but it's a little bit of a hike. Cali-n-titos is great and closest to the stadium. Heading another block away from the stadium, there's Kelly's Jamaican which is cheap and good. Then Hubie D's wings. Then another block and you come to 5 Points which has several more restaurants - 5&10 which is fine dining and many consider the best in town, Royal Peasant which is good pub food and then Barberitos which is a local burrito chain. Those are all on Lumpkin Ave. 5 Points is where Milledge Ave and Lumpkin intersect.

I'm meeting a guy with tix at Stegman at 6:30. What about parking, Ahab?
And is Cali-n-Titos walkable at night from Steman?
Traffic right around Stegman is kinda a zoo. Here's a link to a map w/ all the on-campus parking decks: http://www.ugaparkingmap.com/?rel=1 Using the parking deck by the Georgia Center (on Lumpkin closer to downtown) is probably easier than the ones right next to the stadium. You can walk around that area and 5 Points at night w/o any problems whatsoever.

I bought 4 tickets from an Athens Craigslist ad. Sec GG for $10 each. About the "5 yard line" upper. Good seats.
Ate at Cali-n-Titos nearby on Lumpkin. Good $6 sandwich and quick. Full of Gators, too.
Parked about 2 blocks from the gym on Sanford St. in a parking garage for $5. Easy in and out.
Whole experience, excepting the first half result, was very nice, cheap and easy.
Nice, cheap and easy is a good description of Athens in general.

I went. Sparse crowd, 20% Gators at tip off but 80% Gators by the end of the game.
