I don't think we are getting the respect we deserve. The good thing about basketball is that it doesn't matter.

A LOT more respect than that. We just destroyed 2 good teams and are still ranked behind 2 other 2-loss teams, both of whom lost at home.

Arizona beat us and they are either 1 or 2 spots ahead of us. We are either the 2nd or 3rd team with 2 loses. Louisville being one of the them, and they were ranked #1 until losing to Syracuse. Not sure how you can argue we need to be higher.

I guess it depends on how you vote in these polls. If you simply look at how many losses each team has and rank teams mostly on the number of losses that they have then we are probably appropriately ranked. If you are watching the games and deciding who you really think are the best teams, I think that we deserve to be ranked higher. I think most pollster vote on the first basis. No skin off my back with either, that's the good thing with basketball, it will be decided on the court.

I think this is the reason why we will not get a #1 seed. Everyone knows at this point, we should walk through our schedule. If we lose, we will drop like a rock.

Duke, Michigan, Kansas, Cuse, L'ville, Zona, Indiana? Note that KSU is three spots below us with a victory over us.

I'd rather be ranked #8 right now than #1 with a bullseye on our backs. There's no single dominant team this year. We are in a group of about 8 or 10 very good teams. As long as we stay in this group all season, we're doing good.

Polls don't bother me much. They aren't factored into seeding terribly much and otherwise are irrelevant. I actually like being slightly underrated because neither our kids nor their opponents start thinking of the team in relation to that number.

Kind of under ranked I'd say, Florida will have to win all the SEC games, make it to the championship game going through Duke, Syracuse, Michigan, Arizona, and top it off by beating Butler... To be even considered being ranked #1... Still might be #2 to the voters...

nice thing about basketball is , at least if your top 8 - 12 , you have the tournament to fairly prove yourself. The bracket as of today puts us in a nice place.

Under rated...Over rated...doesn't really matter. You prove your worth on the court every time you step on it. Keep winning and playing the game the way its meant to be played and the coach is happy.

Actually I'd like to be the 16 seed this year, beat the crap out of whomever is the 1 seed, and go from there.

Seed in the "Dance" is just giving an edge. Since the whole thing is a crap-shoot having edges is good, but don't guarantee anything. Still I would like to have that edge.

We're in agreement here. Our last two NCAA runs were perfect examples of what you speak of.
