With about 2.30 left in the game and all the sub's were at the scorer's table. Billy leaned over to the ref and said something and play was stopped. The subs came in.

Seems like there was no timeout as Miz didn't huddle up, they just stood in place.

Please explain what happened.

It was a time out. Seemed that way on TV anyway.

Whatever Corch Dunavin says, they refs are supposed to do. He told the ref to stop play so Col. Kurtz and the 4 puppies could come in and play a bit.

It was a :30 time out - I literally sit right behind Billy and the conversation with the ref happened on the court right in front of me.

Billy signals to the ref that the TO is just to swap out players and no need to huddle. Kind of like an illegal motion penalty signal is the motion he makes.

I was watching the whole thing. Billy walked down the bench, pointing at each guy on as he passed them, saying, "You, you, you, you, you." They started peeling off the warmups and Billy turned to the ref and called timeout.

The newcomers all played much better than they did the last game. Whatever the Pelph "emphasized" after that one must have worked.

This.

It is a TO, but it doesn't stop play very long.
