Rumor threads are not permitted here. If anyone is leaving we'll have a thread when there's official confirmation.

Thanks!

Yep. Recruits read this stuff.. and hear the rumors... It can only undermine the work of the staff.

But message boards just fan the flames. I understand the rule.

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of a message board, or is this just a method to get everyone to become paid?

No. It does not defeat the purpose of a message board. It does defeat the purpose of eliminating Internet rumors that are a lot of times started by rival fans for a variety of reasons.

Like it was told....when the stories are confirmed, then they will be allowed to be posted and commented on.

Why? Do the Mods get a commission?

No. My guess is its truly an effort to keep GC from becoming the landfill that many message boards become. Let's face it. We have plenty to talk about around here. Rumors that could have a negative impact....even in the smallest degree ...need to run their course I understand the differing opinion...but that's just how I see it.

Well I would agree but there are rumor articles about Dan QUinn on the front page of the site

I like rumor threads because it allows me to get information. For example, I'd be able to find out who's on Muschamp's list for DC (I'm sure somebody is in the know)

I can't even count the number of blue chippers I have personally steered to UF over the years by infiltrating unaffiliated rival cfb message boards and starting rumor threads, or commenting on a tweet that one of their players put out on the internet. :ninja:

Exactly!

The censorship around here is getting lame. I know, I know...my house my rules, etc. But it's a fine line before it becomes an empty house.

No. The Mods do not get a commission. Do not get a salary etc. We volunteer our time to help GatorCountry be, by far, be the best Gator fan site, or any fan site of any team, out there! We love the Gators! We love GatorCountry.com !!
