Thinking about starting a band. Work sucks, not that I would stop working, but playing music would make live worth living. Nothing else does. Except beer and other people's music. Sex would be good, but I hear that people in bands have no problem with that.

I was in a band(bass) when I went to GHS. Many moons later a local R&R band in Jax wanted me to be their sound man but my schedule & my first wife wouldn't allow me to do so.

I have very fond memories of seeing many groups while growing up in Gainesville including: the Zombies, the Hombres, the Beach Boys, Strawberry Alarm Clock, Buffalo Springfield, Tom Petty, Jefferson Starship, Stevie Nicks & Joe Walsh.

StrangeGator - lots of fun as long as everyone has the same expectations. I am with 4 other guys 50+. We take turns picking songs to learn, so everyone is vested in the set list. I look forward to every Friday night practice. You can find folks on Craigslist under the Musician heading.
