Please tell me not another Super Bowl with the New England Patriots in it!!! God, as much as I love Spikes, Hernandez and other gators on the team, I do not want to sit through another Super Bowl with the same team in it, that is in it every year. Houston sucks, along with Schaub, so I knew they would not beat NE I would like to see a battle of the Harbaugh brothers...

Thoughts?

Yeah it sucks since I've grown up hating that team.

Stop watching the NFL and follow recruiting. Recruiting is much more interesting and exciting.

Yes me to!! It's like someone beat them already, if crappy New York can then other teams should be able to, too.

I do! College football is more exciting period, but since hockey is being pu$$ie$ this year, and baseball hasn't started I have to get my fix of football somehow!!!!

I'm not a big pro fan. So this is my approach to every game.

1) I'll root for whichever team has more Gators on their roster.
2) If their is a tie, and it involves the Falcons or Dolphins (my favorite teams as a kid) , then I'll root for them.
3) If neither of the first two determine a winner, I'll root for the team that hasn't won a Superbowl in the longest.

And just to keep count, of the remaining teams
Pats have 4 (Spikes, Hernandez, Demps, & Cunningham)
Falcons have 1 (Mike Peterson)
49ers have 1 (Ray McDonald)
Ravens have 1 (Deonte Thompson)

Hockey starts yes! Ill be at the Tampa Bay Times Forum for their opening game! And if New England plays offense next week against ravens like they did this week, unfortunately they'll be in uuuugggghhhhh..... I don't even want the ravens in I wanted the Bucs to win it all, but I might as well try to go find a Merman, better chances of that happening before Bucs winning another Super Bowl or even making the playoffs!

This thread is just more evidence Tom Brady is the best QB in the NFL today, and has been for quite some time.

I'm not convinced that the Pats can beat the Ravens. Flacco is playing very good, and Rice is an excellent back. ObvThey may have enough motivation to beat the APats. Plus they don't have to travel too far.

I love the Patriots, at least under Belicheck. He will probably go down as the greatest head coach of his era. Every ring Parcells ever got was with Belicheck directing his defense. The fact that he has several Gators on the roster makes it even better.

Then again, I am a sucker for really good, schematic coaching, not the rah-rah crap you see so often on the sidelines.

Well belicheck is certainly no rah rah guy.

Personally, I'd much rather see Spikes and the boys in the Super Bowl than either Harbaugh brother. The chance that lewis, suggs, flaco, etc could be celebrating a SB is pretty repulsive.

In fact , Atlanta vs NE works just fine.

I know I want the boys to get it but I hate the patriots.. And Brady is the best QB of our times it's not that I hate him, just the patriots

I think Belichek is the Saban of the NFL. He also has the fortune of having the same OL coach since before he arrived and a very good owner. I think Belichek made Parcels. Parcels didn't do much without him.

Another reason the Pats do so well is that the Jets, Dolphins and Bills are bad most years since Brady has been there. So the Pats end up quite healthy typically when the playoffs roll around. The AFC East is essentially the ACC of the pros outside of the Pats most years for the past 20+ years.

Peyton Manning is undeniably one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time but in my book he's the stat boy of his generation, sort of how Dan Marino was in his. Manning does have one ring however to Marino's zero. He played in a cushy climate controlled Dome for all of his career save one year. Brady played in the elements at home. Though Brady has had some SB failure, he's more or less the Joe Montana of his generation. With the win today, Brady is the winningest QB in the playoffs surplanting his boyhood idol Montana.

NE in the SB doesn't bother me in the least because they are a well run classy organization from the top down. You have to respect that.

Yes, but I mean how many NFL cheat that we don't know about lol... I think a lot of them will do whatever they can to get a leg up on the other team, but only the patriots were stupid enough to get caught...

Hockey is dead to me....they can take their strike and shove it. I might come back if they make the puck a grenade.

Ditto!

The Harbaughs kind of rub me the wrong way, particularly the one with SF. Unfortunately, if I were to put money on it, I'm afraid I'd have to pick SF to win it all with NE slightly behind (and the Ravens very capable of the upset). I don't think Atlanta has much of a chance against SF, but I'll be pulling for the upset.

Brady is great, but Marino is still the best I've ever seen, but I'm starting to wonder if Rodgers might not be better. Rodgers seems to be about as good a passer as Marino with the added bonus that he can throw those accurate darts while on the run. (As always: championship rings are team accomplishments, not attributable to a single player - even the QB.)

Brady played on a team that went 10-5 the year he was hurt. The Patriots are just a great franchise with a QB who knows how to win football games with a good OL.

That o line gives him 10 minutes to find a receiver

Being a Dolphin fan all my life, I always hated the Pats. However, they are the best at being a championship contender for the last decade.
