I thought i would go ahead and try to give my input on player grades for the Florida at LSU game.

Kenny Boynton: 7- 20 pts, 7 reb, 2 ast...Great defense, shooting started slow and picked up once in the flow of the game. Really made an effort to drive and not just throw up every 3 he saw.

Patric Young: 6- 14 pts, 7 reb...Was a force inside, wish that we gave him the ball more during the game, but did a great job at scoring and passing from the low post and rebounded well.

Erik Murphy: 5- 12 pts, 7 reb, 3 ast... Typical game for Murphy, there are some obvious impacts of his fractured rib as his shooting looked off until the 2nd half.

Scottie Wilbekin: 5- 7 pts, 5 reb 3 ast...Ran the point well and played tremendous defense. The offense seems more and more in sync when he is running the point and Boynton can play the SG position.

Will Yeguete: 7- 10 pts, 13 reb...Tremendous game from Yeguete today. Was a monster on the boards and played great defense. We need this type of game from Yeguete more often

Michael Frazier II: 6- 5 pts, 7 reb, 3 ast...Frazier really stepped up today on the boards and with his passing. Needs to learn defensive positioning better in order to foul less. Was great to see him driving and dishing to Yeguete and Young.

Dillon Graham: 4- Played alright for a freshman, needs to get more playing time in order to keep improving, really like the give and go they run with him the last few times he has played.

Casey Prather: 5/Inc- 6 pts, 2 reb...was playing another typical Prather game going to the offensive glass and driving to the basket well. Really hope he is not out that long.

Patric missed to many chippies, fumbled the ball too many times, and missed too many free throws to get a 6.

I agree, Patric should have shot better from the charity stripe. His hands are improving, but he still has mental aspects. He just needs to learn to focus the entire game. He could be a monster if he learned that.

Patric has hands of stone...you simply can't throw him a pass that isn't perfect, or he'll bobble it

i'm sure they drill the heck out of Young on catching passes. he'd have alot easier time w/out the bobbles. in the movie, miracle, liked how they prepared the goalie and increased his skills and reaction time by using tennis balls. maybe something like that for PY?

When he is one-on-one, Patric needs to take a shot. But sometimes when Patric is double-teamed, he still tries to score over the defense. When he recognizes the double team and passes the ball, it really makes a difference in that it means someone else is taking what is likely a higher percentage shot (because they're open). Also it could help make teams not double him as often.

How about Golf balls, or perhaps even better, footballs, which, when forwarded with bounce passes, will definitely improve reaction time.
